Please explain the 'extra' channels

I do not understand the 'new' channels....beauty iq, qvc plus....why doesn't QVC just broadcast these programs on the 'regular' channel, without the expense of broadcasting on 2 other channels?

With all the complaints about the repetiton in programing these additional channels just don't make sense....at least to me....anyone have any thoughts?

It does seem obnoxious but probably the larger the audience, the more they sell the richer the company becomes.

@Mom2Dogs Count me in as confused too.I don't get any of their extra channels and I think others are in the same situation.I just wish they would work on cost cutting so we could get some better prices.

I hear them talking about it too. It doesn't interest me (watching more, more, more QVC). I watch too much as it is now.

I don't even know how to find it but I get every channel known to man so it's probably somewhere.

I know people who watch shows on their computer. That's not going to happen here. If I can't see it on the big screen, it's not happening.

My granddaughters watch shows on their mother's Iphone! They've dropped it in the toilet so many times it's crazy. Maybe that's what the next generation is going to be doing. They have a 65 inch TV with an entire room devoted to TV and movies and they watch the tiny IPHONE. I guess the world is changing. Sometimes I'm glad I'm 70...Ha!

I get all three channels on DirecTV. I like having a choice of programming since I don't watch Evine or HSN. Many shows are live broadcasts that are totally different from what they are showing on the main network. When I don't want to watch vacuums or computers, I might find some fashions or handbags on QVC Plus. Works for me

QVC Plus is channel 255 on Dish Network. I don't order beauty so don't know about that one.

I have Comcast and neither QVC Plus or Beauty IQ is offered.

I have neither cable nor satellite. I watch High-Def digital TV over the air. Both QVC and QVCplus are broadcast over the air in my area, but BeautiQ isn't. I have to go to the QVC app or .com to watch (streaming) BeautyiQ.

Some people are unaware you can watch QVC, QVCplus, and BeautyiQ on the same device you use to participate in these forums. Don't need a TV. A Smartphone, tablet, laptop, or PC will all serve.

I love having QVCplus to catch a show I missed, or want to see again. Qplus repeast live QVC shows, but mix in hours of live programs of their own. For instance, In The Kitchen With Mary is a live broadcast on Qplus. I think ITKWDavid starts on QVC when ITKWMary ends on Qplus. But dont quote me, check your program guide.

Right now BeautyiQ is live for "prime time" and runs repeat beauty shows the rest of the time. I'd imagine the "live" hours will eventually expand, just as the Qplus is adding more live shows.

Unlike the traditional forum on Q and Qplus, BeautyiQ is VERY informal. The hosts, vendors, and models all take questions and comments from audience members via FB during the show. So you can ask questions about a product while it's being shown.

@x Hedge I do know that you can watch all of the Q channels on their website, I prefer not to watch tv that way (computer, smartphone or tablet). I like to watch it on my big screen tv. I'm just surprised that Comcast doesn't offer the other channels.

Hi @DJs mom. Im sure youre not alone. Sounds like you could get support for an email writing campaign to request Comcast offer the other channels.
