Promo code misinformation

got an email from synchrony Bank that promo code Qcardsummer23 would give a discount of 20% on one order total. No limit was specified on how many items I could order. so I tried to order two items. total was $302.50 prior to taxes. there was no shipping charge for either items. theoretically I should be getting $60.50 off. it did not. called customer service waited for an hour. finally spoke with Skyler eho proceeded to tell me that there was a cap of $20. nowhere in the email does it say that there's a cap of $20 it says 20% off your order. curiously when I just put in the makeup it actually gave me 20%. but when I added the boots that pushed it up to $302.50 it took off the 20% off the makeup and just put a flat $20 credit on the boots. I asked for a manager and no one is available they will call me back in 4 hours. really bad customer service all around from the misinformation in the email that did not specify there is a $20 cap to who wants to wait around for 4 hours for a manager which they never call back anyway. I have been a long time customer of QVC. I've never had any problems but this misinformation with the promo code and the lack of customer service especially a rep telling me that no managers are available what is that all about. my next step will be to email corporate about the issue with the promo code and also customer service or lack thereof.

I copied the entire email that I received and as you can see maximum savings of $20 was missing on my email. I'm sure a lot of people don't read the fine print and just go oh goody I'm getting 20% off of my order I always read the fine print and I'm appalled that they would send me an email with such misinformation

so I ordered the makeup. that gave me the full 20% off. only spent around $40 with the discount. if QVC had honored the promo code As written in the email that they sent me that I would have spent around $245! way to go QVC! they lost dollars and I'm sure many more customers are doing the same thing. I wonder shopping channels are struggling. instead of someone in customer service saying yes we can go ahead and honor that since you got an email not specifying and then QVC would have gotten 245 instead of the paltry sum of 40. oh well.

that may have been on the QVC website but in the email I got as I copied and pasted it it never said anything about a $20 cap. maybe synchrony and QVC should get their facts straight before sending out these promotions

If you have pictures blocked on incoming email and didn't download them or get email as plain text only, you wouldn't see the graphic part of the email. The email I got was exactly as posted by loriqvc, graphics and all.

I think.it is a mixed message. It stated 20% off * but it should have stated maximum is $20 off.. The asterisk is a given that their is more information concerning the 20% off. So, I can understand the confusion. Just poorly written.

These days, companies frequently send out emails with errors or missing disclaimers. It seems proofreading is dead. It would be nice if they honored the 20% off of the entire purchase, but it doesn't surprise me that they didn't.

mine had the photo at the top of the email and it clearly stated the discount was a maximum of $20.

I received the same email regarding a thankyou for voting and saying 20% off. There was no mention in any graphics or fine print about a maximum of $20. I even clicked on the link to the email to view the email in a web page. Still no maximum of $20. I'm really mad and annoyed about this. I called Customer Service and was told about the maximum, but the email should have been honored. Grrrrrr !!

I watched Watch and Win today with Mary Beth Roe and she said that if you already had a Q card, that you could get $20 off a $40 purchase with the promo code HOLIDAY20. I tried it and it didn't work, so I called customer service and they didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about. They put me on hold and said that was only for people applying for a Q card. I went back and listened to the Watch and Win show and that is not what Mary Beth said, but I could not convince customer service, so for now, my would be purchase will stay in my wish list. I just wondered if anyone else tried to use that promo code and was successful.
