Hey guys,
I am doing research for an author on Beatles memorabilia and I was looking for an email or connection tp someone that might be able to help me with an item sold on QVC TV back in the late 90's?

@mrbeverage 1995 QVC had the world debut of the Beatles Anthology, Volume One. It was in November.

Thank you for that answer, but that is not even close to the information I am searching/reseearching.

Is there a historian in the coperation? or someone familiar with items sold over the years?

The single item in question (image below) was a set of Beatles Tie Tacks (four in a case) originally manufactured by Press Initial in the mid 60's. The story that I am trying to confirm is that a quantity of unsold Tie Tack inventory was discovered in a "warehouse find" in the 1990's and were then attached to the backer cards, packaged and sold on your network as a Beatles QVC exclusive item.

This set contained four authentic 60's era tie tacks (one facial image of each Beatle) pinned to an exact reproduction of the original backer card used in the 60's and then enclosed in a newly designed plastic flip open plastic case.

During my research I have found many references to these Tie Tack sets being sold exclusively during a single evening on QVC TV but I can't find any documentation or evidence on the net that this is indeed a true statement/event but I have found that QVC has had a unique relationship with Beatles items throughout its history, so this sale/event seems plausible.

if you are on facebook, friend STEVE BRYANT (the former qvc host) if possible.

he did a lot of music shows/music memorabilia shows and he may have the answers you are looking for. he is a wealth of knowledge regarding qvc and their special shows.

I'm a Beatles fan, a former Beatles memorabila collector, and have been watching QVC since 1986. I don't remember any such item sold by them. If I'm wrong it's just my old age forgetfullness.

There were counterfeits of the the tie tacks. Looks like fakes in your picture. Maybe someone who sold the counterfeits made up an urban legend about them to sell them to unsuspecting collectors. Sounds plausible.
