stop the Q promos that show up on my screen

I was checking the Q forums and a QVC promo block (pink and gray) showed up on the bottom of my screen. It was asking for my email and notifying me that I would get messages about QVC deals. I clicked the exit "X" and within four minutes, the promo block showed up ten times!!! I find this to be incredibly irritating and an invasion of my privacy!!

Please, I do not want any promos showing up on my screen and definitely do not want emails coming the the Q. I will check the website when I am ready and looking for a product.

Oh, my goodness!!!!!!!! You are sooooo right! DREADFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! Bad enough it's often difficult to watch the programming on TV. Now, they're taking the joy out of shopping on line!!!!!!!!!!! Who's AWFUL idea was that, I wonder?????

Just a little while ago today I started getting this thing that comes up from the bottom of the screen and takes up about a third of the screen. What the heck???

I do use Adblock Plus and the basic blocking that comes with the OS but this thing kept coming up over and over for a while. Seems to be gone now (fingers crossed). VERY intrusive.

UGH! I spoke too soon. It's back. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

It says 'Countdown to Christmas' and wants you to put your email address in. There should be an opt out.

PLEASE make this stop! If I were actually shopping (I'm just here on the board at this time) I would get out and shop elsewhere. Fine if it comes up once and either lets you opt out or stops but it keeps coming up and is sitting there right now so I can only use the top 2/3 of my screen.

I find those types of ads in very poor taste! Sort of a sleezy attack on customers. I find them an insult. They are enough to make me avoid a business that uses them.

Agree!! If we wanted to get on the Q website, we were being forced to see and pay attention to that ad. I went on the website several times yesterday and got off just as quickly because of that ad. That is why I decided to let Q mods know.... thanks again,Eva...
