topic Shipping & Handling Cost Problems... in Customer Care

Tonight I had to cancel an order which was supposed to have free shipping and handling since my email confirmation suddenly tacked on a 12.00 plus shipping and handling fee. And a few weeks ago I had to do the same thing with another item that had a drastic shipping and handling fee. Both items were tops which shouldn't have had a double digit shipping and handling fee even under normal conditions. I hope that this is just a website editing error but due to not being able to cancel items after even an hour anymore, I just went ahead and ditched them. No clothing item should cost that much to send unless it's a very heavy, very bulky winter coat (possible but highly unlikely). One other question/problem I have had is if two different items are shipped together (as today I got a moisturizer jar and a pair of SG pants in the same box) why does each have a separate shipping and handling fee? I was assuming these would be sent separately to be honest.
