@Reconnaissant Amazon Prime has it for $30 w/FREE shipping. I didn't check the "outlet" store. Should be even cheaper there.

@Reconnaissant - As a result of what I just mentioned, I actually have four of these cuties in my closet . . . guess QVC got me with that "gift closet" idea after all! And although I don't want you to feel too discouraged, I did have to wait several months before I was able to order them; it seems like they get a bunch in stock all at once and then sell, sell, sell. They are most popular in the fall, when there are gift options and special sales leading up to the holidays. I realllly hope you don't have to wait that long!

I love it for herbs (I hate chopping herbs as they get my cutting board all green and they go everywhere!)...and for things like onions.

When you do finally get yours, make sure you only wipe off the top (can't get submerged in water) and be very careful of the blade. It's very sharp!

I didn't want to have to pull on something like a lawn mower, got a small food processor from Walmart . Good for chopping pecans, small amounts of stuff. Big food processor for big jobs.
