See-Through Packaging Now?

Mods -- my Lug TSV was delivered in the common area of my garden apartment building in a clear, see-through plastic bag. I have never seen anything like this packaging before when ordering anything, from anywhere. One side of the bag was grey opaque where the mailing label was affixed. The entire rest of the bag (the bottom and the other side) was perfectly clear, showing the Lug bag inside on full view.

That is a new one for me and I find it absolutely unacceptable. Can you please tell me if this packaging is the new norm for QVC?

Wow, I wouldn't be happy with that. Who wants everyone to know what they've ordered?

It sounds like it was sent from the vendor that way. I agree - unacceptable, especially if it was delivered to a common area. Anyone could have decided to take it, once s(he) saw what it was. I hope this was a fluke!

I parked my car and was waking down the long the breezeway, and I spotted a red & black Buffalo check wrapped package by the mail drop off. That's how obvious it was. As I got closer I realized it was my Lug purchase! I couldn't believe it.

@Caaareful Shopper That's really unfortunate! I ordered the TSV on 10/26, and am now wondering if it will be sent that way also. I am crossing my fingers it will arrive undamaged.🤞

I'm curious to know about the quality, and would really appreciate your critique. TIA😊

It's my understanding that Lug is shipped from the vendor.

I've bought several Lug bags over the last year or two and they, unfortunately, always come in that clear packaging. I think they come from Lug that way. Either they are sending them directly from their warehouse to us or they are sent that way to QVC and they are not repackaging them in a QVC box or bag.

I'm always grateful that my mailman and UPS man know me and bring my packages to me at work.

I too, would worry that someone would steal it if it were just left at my front door. And really...it's nobody's business what we are buying. They (both QVC and Lug) should be doing a better job.

Lots of vendors are shipping items that way., I have received several packages shipped in clear plastic bags and some in opaque bags as well.

It's okay by me. I don't need to break down cardboard boxes.

@SandySparkles Thankfully, all seems to be fine with the Lug itself. No worse for wear. The mini is packaged conveniently inside the larger size Trolley.

@Carmie I've received plenty items in opaque bags as well, pretty much the norm. I was just so surprised because it was my first time getting a see-through bag, and I do a lot of onlne ordering. Thanks for letting me know you've received these before.

I don't like it one bit.

I wouldn't particularly want see-through packaging. If someone can see what you're getting, they may take it! There's a "robbery waiting to happen" in some neighborhoods.

Also, if a gift is being delivered to me for someone else, it would be visible.

I've ordered a few Lug wallets and none of them came in opaque nor clear bags. They were regular Q bags.

I REALLY hope this will not be the norm by anyone I order from. Some/many of us order a lot of stuff online. It's become the norm.I will say that I'd have to seriously re-think ordering from sites who use clear/opaque bags whereby everybody can see what you're getting.

This is all just wrong. Talk about my goods getting into the wrong hands who touch my stuff, see what's in the package. This is when things go awry and my goods look better to others to keep instead of getting the goods to me.

About 2 weeks ago i got a package from the Q that had one of those jackets with the zip-out hoodies. One end was totally cut open and then taped back up. I mean completely opened, not a little tear but totally cut open. What's up with this? Who did it? And why was it opened?

Wow, I have not seen see through packaging yet! I have not ordered anything from Lug in quite awhile though. I have enough and the last time I ordered something it arrived damaged but in a QVC bag, not clear. So back it went. I wouldn't like that as our deliveries for our townhouse all get put in a small mail room for ALL to see.........better stay away from ordering anything trashy, LOL! UPS though delivers to our actual doorstep but you never know who will deliver any particular package these days.....

My first thought was now the post office guy can see my new underwire bras, as well as feel them. And then there's DH. That's all I need is his seeing all the unnecessary stuff I buy. Plastic and paper envelopes he tends to ignore.

I wrote to both Lug and QVC Social. QVC responded in a matter of minutes! Those here who said Lug uses their own shipping logistics process were absolutely correct. QVC is also contacting Lug to pass along this concern.

The packaging could have accidentally been torn as it went along the many conveyor belts on its journey.

Don't hold your breath that things will change simply because they "passed along this concern" .
