How about, in addition to being able to "heart" a post, being able to do a "thumbs down" to simply indicate no support for a comment.

Ignoring the comment would serve as a thumbs down. Using that causes more rancor among posters.

I so agree, I don’t think people realize when they make comments on here how many folks actually disagree with them.

So I don’t understand the point what kind of message you send if you don’t make any comment whatsoever?

I just use the emoji for "mad" or "sad".

I would not like to see a thumbs down option on these boards. If a poster doesn't like a comment, there's already the option to comment as you wish. Why stir the pot with even more negativity?
