New problem now ... As I'm typing

the screen is rolling down and I have to keep pulling it back up !!! Not sure what could have happened ???? How could iPad screen roll down by itself.. I did turn my iPad over to check my model # and after that it happened. Anyone have this happen on there iPad. i seem to be having a lot of problems here lately, frustrating!

@Kitty Galore, I’ve seen something similar caused by corrupted/damaged cookies, cache, or stored website data (please clear all that, including the Advanced step, as described in your other thread).

Also, we still need to know which model iPad you have and which iOS version to try and troubleshoot the growing list of problems your device is experiencing.🌻

Yes, I’ve been having that problem lately too. It had been doing that (and other things) for a long time and it was really hard to post here. I only have troubles on QVC and the forums. But after I updated to the latest iOS, all my problems went away. Then, just a couple of weeks ago, they started in again. Most often is the screen roll when I try to post.

If you're not sure which model you have, look on the back of the device for the model number, starts with the letter "A" and followed by 4 digits and find it on Apple's website

(use an internet search for "Identify your iPad model" or link https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201471).

Then check to see what iOS version you're currently using — you can look in Settings, General, About, and see "Version" ("Software Version" on newer models/iOS versions).

Then you can look online to find the most current version for your model — or more easily to check for updates and be sure you're current, look under Settings, General, Software Update.

Try these steps (be sure to do both):

Go into Settings, then Safari, then choose "Clear History and Website Data" and tap "Clear" when you see the popup.

Next, in Safari, choose "Advanced," "Website Data," and at the bottom of the list of tracking data tap "Remove All Website Data" and on the popup tap "Remove."

Also, I’m wondering... do you see the same problem with landscape mode and with portrait mode?

For comparison with my Apple mobile devices, I've been using my iPad 6 (iOS 12.4j all day with no problems. Also, off and on I’ve been using my very old iPad 3 (iOS 9.3.6) and old iPhone 5 (iOS 10.3.4) to see if the older ones have problems, but they’re working fine.

I clear my history and website data regularly, sometimes more than once a day.

I don’t use portrait mode on my iPad. I may have to try that and see if it still happens.

@dooBdoo that is what I was doing , looking for the model # to give you when it happened. It seems fine now though, wen to another site to see if it was happening elsewhere and it wasn't . Came back here and it's fine now . I will check all that out and get back to you . Thanks for your help as always😺

Do you also clear the Advanced data, @geezerette? Do you close the Safari app in background occasionally and then relaunch?

I don’t always use my iPad in portrait, but sometimes it seems easier to write new posts or edit existing posts with portrait.

I can tell my brain's not in gear today, @geezerette! You're an iPad power user, if memory serves, and I'm not surprised you go through the usual daily "housekeeping" to streamline its performance. I just wanted to post that all is well and everything has cleared up with doing nothing else except what I already did with clearing history! I can Even read reviews once again which is great! whatever the reason ,could be the tech department read about our problems and worked on it from there end , if so thank you! Greetings, again, @Kitty Galore! 😊 You're welcome! I'm sorry to be so slow in responding... I fell behind in looking at notifications and totally missed this one. Haven't been feeling well, and all the tech problems here a few days ago didn't help... that's for sure.

I just now read our previous discussions, looking for something else, and saw that you mentioned using an iPad 3 (A1432) with the 2015 iOS v. 8.4.1.

There have been 12 or 13 updates since that one -- I have an iPad 3 ( v. iOS 9.3.6 ) that I still use in addition to my newer iPad 6 and it works relatively well here (it's just a little slower, and the pinch-to-zoom doesn't work).

Websites will support older operating systems for a while, but at a certain point they'll tell us we need to update our devices before they can try to troubleshoot problems we report.

I do hope you've updated the iOS to something more current... if not, in addition to seeing glitches that you don't need to deal with you've missed some important security protection and that would make me worry about the precarious safety of your personal and financial information... in fact, the safety of all credentials and information on the device and transmitted when you use it online without security updates.

I hope this is helpful, and I'm very, very glad your most recent problems are resolved. It probably sounds silly, but it really bothers me when posters are encountering all these problems and it sort of nags at my memory... I wish we all were in a better position to help each other.
