I just had to reply to this topic as last week I received a bear that I ordered from a retailer. Imagine my surprise when Dennis, the panda, arrived in a plastic bag wrapped in clear, sticky packing tape. My husband said it felt like a heavy scatter rug so knowing I hadn't ordered a rug I opened it to find Dennis squished like a mummy. But the bigger surprise was the fact there wasn't any sort of paperwork in the bag..The shipping lable was taped to the plastic bag had to be carefully removed as it was completely taped to the bag I had to sit down from shock when I saw that this bear had made the trip right from Charlie Bears in England without the security of a shipping box. I thought my bear would ship from my retailer in the US but I never imagined he would come all the way to Delaware from England without ANY box! Has anyone has this happen to them? I have collected many things over the years but have never had this happen before, Oh, I forgot...Dennis made the trip just fine and sits in my living roon on the arm of my loveseat. I think he looks a little upset but then who wouldn't be after that trip?

Adorable bear but QVC should be ashamed how they ship!! I purchased the Kerri bear which was close to $100 and the bear is in a brown shipping box with one piece of brown shipping paper on top..that's it. At the very least there could be some tissue paper or a clear plastic bag to keep clean. I know a Charlie Bear retailer would never let it go out this way. QVC is the entire line shipped this way? If so order ELSEWHERE!

Wow...what if the box got caught up in rain? That is ridiculous for such an expensive purchase to not at least be in a plastic bag. Inside the box.

Plus the box wasn't tightly sealed. I just don't get it in an item they claim is something special. I don't have a retailer in my state unfortunately. I am very surprised the Charlie bear company would want to be represented this way so I guess they may be the ones falling short. The product itself appears well made but I won't be purchasing the line from here again.
