Unless this was a free shipping purchase, I'd be very upset at paying additional shipping for 2 sets of the same item that were ordered in a single purchase. I've ordered 2 different items from a vendor and had both separate orders sent in the same bag. There doesn't seem to be any consistency with their packaging. If you need to return any of these items, it appears you'd be charged a separate return fee. I hope you get a reasonable explanation and an adjustment in shipping and/or return shipping fees. Let us know what happens with this order....hopefully you've called CS. Thanks for the heads up on a very strange shipping practice that I'll be checking with future orders.

Customer Service,

I am trying to understand why QVC did not ship my Peter Thomas Roth items in one pkg. I logged into my account to see where my items were in the delivery process and was shocked at how the warehouse choose to ship them to me.

Background, I ordered 2 items in one order. 2 sets thin bangles (as qty 2 not 2 separate orders of bangles and 1 pair of earrings. See pics below:

I have 3 separate tracking numbers. Each set of 2 bangles have their own tracking number instead of the 1 tracking number I would have expected.

My assumptions, and this is where I would like CS input: jewelry is grouped in the warehouse by desginer not by type i.e. all rings togehter, all earrings, etc. If my assumption is correct, then why didn't shipping take my ONE order and grab the bangles and earrings from the same designer and put them in 1 package? Or are Peter Thomas Roth items shipped from the vendor's warehouse?

No wonder shipping costs keep increasing due to inefficiency at the warehouse. Not to mention that I now need to keep tabs on 3 tracking numbers instead of just 1 or at most 2.

With QVC policy, you will pay shipping for every item even if you order 10 of the same thing. There could be many reasons for them shipping separately. You pay the same shipping charge regardless of how many boxes they use so why the concern?

1. The concern is it would be cheaper, I believe, for QVC to ship my order in one package. Thus if they save money QVC might be more inclined to go back to offering their customers 1/2 price shipping on items ordered at the same time. 2. 2nd "concern" is instead of having only 1 tracking number to check on, I have 3 to follow. 3. With 3 sepatate packages, higher incident that one package could get lost vs if order arrved in 1 package.

Bottom line, seems costly and inefficient to ship orders this way.

Something that is interesting to know is that robots pick items off of shelves these days in a lot of companies. If the earrings are in one isle and the bangles are in another isle, even though is seems cheaper to you, it might be faster and cheaper to get an order packed by doing each separately. It might cost them more in time and money to put your two items into the same box, when it only costs them an extra $3 to send in two boxes.

Beautiful choices, by the way.
