How Do I Get Q Off Of My Facebook?

I NEVER "friended" them! They showed up! Just showed up about an order.

They're not showing up under "Friends" eithr or I'd delete them!

I don't want my FB invaded by them!

I don't understand. Are you saying that QVC posted on your FB feed specifcally about an order you placed? That would highly unusual to say the least.

If you didn't "friend" them, then it's probably an ad, but you say they referenced a specific order?

Have you tried the three dot dropdown and selected "Hide all from QVC"?

Did you "like" them at any time? If so - next time an ad shows up, go to their page and "unlike" them.

@ECBG Hi, I'm really sorry. Did you receive a private message about an order that was placed? If so, when you are in private message viewing the order information, press an dhold the message, choices will come up and one should be "turn off all messages". I hope this helps.

Why would she be contacted even in private mode on FB about a QVC order rather than an email to whatever USP her QVC account is tied to ? This makes no sense.

FB picks up on what you look at, even thought you never friended them you will see "ads" for them all over the place

I have a couple of hosts' FB pages Liked, and I've never had a QVC ad pop up in my feed - which is kinda weird, I suppose, except that I don't post about QVC on FB. I don't "mention" QVC in my feed or talk about it with a FB Friend. Maybe that's why I don't.

@gardensla,Yes, it was an order! I did hide the block but....I certainly don't want to keep seeing them. Weird, huh? Thanks for your help.

True, Facebook remembers if we interact with pages. The software also picks up on frequent mentions of some advertisers.

One way to limit the annoying ads and recommendations that show up in the News Feed, other than using the option on each post to hide them, is in the Settings.

In Settings, on the left side menu click on the word "Ads." Under "Your interests" you'll see categories such as "Business and industry," "People," "Travel, places and events," and so on and you can choose each category and remove the listings you don't want to see. Under "Advertisers you've interacted with" you can also remove those.

Keep scrolling down and look at all the sections ("Your information," "Ad settings," "Hide ad topics," "How Facebook ads work") to see other options to manage ads.

I monitor these settings periodically, and while nothing will stop ads completely (no way will that ever happen😉) it does help somewhat to limit or customize them.

I also received a private message from the Q yesterday about an order.I was surprised ,to say the least!...and not too happy about it either!

Hi, @Mj12! Always great to see you! I find this confusing. I'm trying to put this together... if I order something from a business and I've had no contact with them when logged into my Facebook account, how do they link the purchase to Facebook and contact me there. Weird.

@dooBdoo @Mj12 Please excuse my wording. I said I placed an order and looked at my accounts through my email account. Although, when you get an email from Q ofen you can go to the main page after opening the email, I meant I use a desktop for everything. I go to Q through my favorites on my internet providor. I go to FB through google.
