Can't See My Avatar/Going to Orders When Signing In

On my MacBook Air on Safari I can't see my Avatar anymore. Sometimes it's a question mark in a box, and sometimes it's just blank with lines. When I sign in it takes me straight to the forums now, though. For a while it was taking me to my orders.

On the same computer when using Chrome I can see my Avatar, but when signing in it still takes me to my orders. Very strange.

Go to Settings, Safari and clear history and website data. warning youll loose any passwords you have stored.

I agree, most of us have found that deleting browser cookies/cache/website data will fix the vanishing avatar and also the problem with being redirected upon logging in.

I want to add that doing this will not remove your saved passwords and other login info -- that's stored in the browser (and with Apple devices is usually saved in the keychain, too) and remains there unless you specifically choose settings to delete passwords. I clear cookies/cache/website data at least once a day on all my devices and the saved user IDs and passwords aren't affected.

Yes you are correct! What i meant was it would not be there and you would have to go into Safari, passwords to retrieve it, insert to the site password place, and start making a new batch of cookies! That probably makes no sense to anyone, but me, maybe!

Hi @NickNack .. the same thing happened to me. Just go into your settings and re-install it. That worked for me.

Good morning, @Shawnie! User ID and passwords aren't usually stored in the cookies, they're permanently saved. So, even when we delete cookies/cache/website data, the next time we navigate to a site the login info will still "auto-fill" for us. Hope that makes sense! I know having to rely just on the written word can be iffy sometimes. Have a great day!😊
