I hadn't heard of World Book Day. I do love to donate books to our local library at the times of the year when they have their second-hand book sales...

I have always donated my books after I have read them to the library, they have two books sales per year and any money they raise is used to buy more books, win win for everybody!

I did not know about WBD, thanks for the information!

I learned about WBD when I was a Shelfari member.

One the other members always signed up to receive

a box of that year's chosen books from the organization

and distributed them on that day.

I've got a couple boxes of books that need to go to Goodwill so maybe I'll take them then.
