My book club read it two months ago. Our group of eight was divided on it. Some loved it, while others not so much. I don't want to given anything away, so it's hard to offer an opinion. I would suggest you read it to the end and then check back in. I'd love to know what you think of it.

I read it and liked it once I got the names straightened outt. This was the first time I have read Anne Patchett and will look out for some of her other books

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book. However, I was irritated by a certain device previously used by Kate Atkinson in After Life.

Atkinson kept having a certain character die, under varying circumstances. Patchett does a similar thing with a death in her book.

Other than that, I love Commonwealth.

I started to read it & decided to give up finishing. I have so many books to read, I did not see any sense in reading a book I did not enjoy.

@LUVCRAFTS This is what I did, too. But there are so many positive reviews I might give it another chance. Sometimes you just have to be in the right mood.
