Bookmarks for paper books, not the electronic ones.

What do you use for marking your place in a book. I really don't like turning down corners on pages. I have one I made ages ago, but sometimes I want a couple going at once.

I have some of my grandchildren that the school made up along with their class pictures. Before I got those, I think I just tore a strip of paper to use as a bookmark.

I use those cards that come in magazines for subscriptions

or just tear a piece of paper from the recycling

My favorites are the magnetic ones. I can clip them anywhere on the page (often I'll stop between paragraphs), and so they work very well!

I use bookmarks from local libraries, bookmarks I've made from greeting cards or rubber stamped, simple yarn braids or crochet strips. I also use the sticky little paper things from the office supply store (not sure I should mention the very

well-known brand name). Also, paperclips. :-)

I am always losing/misplacing bookmarks so I don't bother to buy them or try to keep pretty ones. I just use any old envelope. Junk mail is fine, or I cut a strip of the envelope. Works for me.

My husband went into the library one day and they handed him a bookmark, so that is what I have been using.

I usually use a Post-It Note. Or just a sheet from a larger notepad that won't fall out of the book.

Holy cards work, but I do have some regular bookmarks. My personal favorite are book darts.

Most of the time, I use a 3x5 index card because it works well, no matter the size of the book. I also have a packet of blank bookmarks, from when I used to do a little crafting and I enjoy using those, too (and when I get tired of reading, I can doodle or do Zentangle on them). I do have some magnetic bookmarks and will usually use one to mark references/note sections at the end of the book for quick-viewing.

I have a collection of bookmarks that I've picked up through the years including a treasured one that my mother gave me about 20 years ago. Most of them are picked up at my local library, but I always scope out the cute ones when we go into a book store. My favorite is from Suzy Toronto and is for "She Who Loves to Read". I tried to find some of them on E-Bay as gifts for my reading friends, but they are very hard to find. I also found a company called "Magnetic Bookmark" & bought up a bunch of those a few years back for friends. Bookmarks are fun for me.

When I check a book out of the library I use the paper receipt from the self checkout too. That way I don't forget when it's due.

Barnes and Noble always had nice bookmarks near the checkout, I haven't noticed if they still do because I don't get there that often. When I was a kid I loved to collect bookmarks.

I read lots of books at one time, and I enjoy a variety of bookmarks. My favorites are classic leather strips that I bought on ebay.

I have several bookmarks that they give away free at the bookstore. Nothing fancy, but they do the job.
