I hope that you see this. The boards are being shut down as of November 2nd. We are splitting into different boards, but several of us have moved to proboards.

Lots of threads on how to move over there. If you see this and need more info page me @icezeus to let me know. I will continue to check the Book Club Thread daily for any book stragglers (smile) that need to move over and might not be aware of the upcoming closure.

Go to mellyg. proboards. com (Actually run this altogether. i have spaced it out because it's against the rules here to post a direct link.

Register first. They will ask you for an e-mail address and a birth date. If you do not feel comfortable with that request make up a date. They will also ask you for a Username ( this is how you want to be identified on the new boards) I would suggest using your existing one that you use here and a password. Once you have registered. They will send you an e-mail which will have a pass code to authenticate yourself. It's long and convoluted, so what I did was copy and pasted it. Then you should see something that says success. Which means you are registered. It should put you immediately in q forum friends.

Please come back here and let me know if you have been successful. We are all encouraging people to use their same names as what they have used here.

***Also there is a thread under Q Talk named Directions to sign up for new board. That has information that is helpful as well.

Yes, I think I like it better and just signed up last night. It's made up of Q posters that transferred over there. It's worth a try, I think.

The way that they are set up I think it will be fine. I will basically employ the same method that I use here. If I think it's going to turn uguly I do not even check out the thread. I just do not have the time. So far, the posts that I have seen everyone has been very friendly and helpful.

@icezeusthank you for letting me know about the boards. I can't figure out why QVC would shut them down, but it's their business to do as they please.

I had to take some time off from the internet to clear my head after a family tragedy. I'm just starting to come back to the real world. Thank you for taking over the book reviews. I would miss it a lot if it disappeared. I'm glad the proboard will take its place. I did join the proboard and will try to come back and say hi whenever I am able.

Well, I logged on this afternoon only to see that QVC has changed their minds. They are leaving the boards open. Huge banner saying that they have heard us and will remain open. WTH?? This is confusing. I guess I will stay on both boards.

I can't thank you enough for this information as I know nothing about proboards. I am sick about the Q boards closing. I know they have decided to keep them open for now but on another thread someone said they received a letter from corporate and they have decided to keep them open into the beginning of the year. Some are assuming that means they will close them down then. Though I don't post often because I am a slow reader I get all my reading recommendations from this board. Thank you so much to you and @sunala for keeping it going for so long. Which site will most everyone be moving to, the proboards, HSN board or FB? I hope we can continue there.

I think I'll stick around here, as now there's no need to complicate my life with yet another board and more posts to read. I'm going to keep it simple, at least for now. Thanks for the shout out XOX
