My only thought is to make sure that you remember this was put together purely from the defense point of view. Based on articles that I've read there was very specific evidence not mentioned in the series that points to his guilt, such as a tooth from his burn pile matched by DNA to the victim. I don't know enough about the facts in this case, but anytime a documentary or story is put together from only one point of view it needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

I have seen a couple of article that described the tooth being found in a barrel where Avery burned trash and have also seen it described as being found in a fire pit or burn pile. A burn pile is simply an area where some people, who live in the country, burn trash, leaves, debris, etc.

Why do people keep mentioning this tooth as if it were some kind of revelation? Her bones were found there. They talk about her bones being there in the documentary? Why would it be such a big deal if they found a tooth as well?

I'm sick and tired of reading blogs upon blogs about this one-sided movie that doesn't include all of the facts of the case. There have been several reliable news sources recently that have shed light on the full story and it would behoove everyone who has watched the movie to also watch the news stories to get the full picture. I'm abhorred that thousands of people want to set this sicko free.

Well then, don't read the blogs, @Shogirl Clearly you haven't seen the documentary, so I'm not sure why you're so interested in reading the blogs or even commenting here. One of the best lawyers in the country is taking on this case after reviewing the evidence. That should be enough to cast doubt. The fact that you have already cast judgement on this "sicko" without having any knowledge of the case doesn't shed the best light on your character, either.

IMHO, the documentary was entertainment and facts were left out but the police work was admittedly shoddy....the purpose of the lawyers should be to review the facts, determine if there was a fair trail and work from there....their purpose should not be to attempt "to get him off" because no one knows if he is guilty or not

I had HLN on this morning when they briefly interviewed the ex-fiancé, the one who appears so supportive in the documentary. She said she asked the filmmakers not to use her footage. She said today that the documentary is "full of lies." She said Avery abused her many times, substantiated by police reports and photos. The film crew recently asked her for more participation and she turned them down.

Apparently Nancy Grace will be devoting a lot of time tonight to the ex-fiance's revelations. Those whose minds have been made up by the one-sided documentary don't need to watch, but my open mind wants to hear all sides of this story. 8:00 pm EST, repeated at 2:00 am EST. HLN channel.

Just finished binge watching this series. Pretty interesting. I still have a lot of questions.

For one thing the Avery's owned for generations a 40 acre salvage yard, real estate & land & most interesting of all had a street named after them. Yet, the series portrayed the whole family as just working class folks. Maybe even PWT. They couldn't even afford an attorney for Brendan!!!!

Steven won over $400K from the county. $100K was spent on the best atty's around. Where is the balance of all this money??? Steven had several children. Nothing was said if they shared in the bounty. Even stranger, it did not appear his parents saw any of the money either.

Why was the 16yr old nephew Brendan Dassey always interviewed/interrogated by the police w/o a parent or even a lawyer present?????? Isn't that grounds for dismissal or at least the interview/interrogation thrown out of court???? ~~Ok, I watch too much L&O SUV.~~

What young boy was raped by Steven Avery? Regardless of yours or anyone's label of him being a "vicious man," that doesn't mean he deserves to be wrongly convicted of killing another human being. His girlfriend is a criminal herself, and defended him until she was scared off by the prosecuting attorney. Her opinion is not the most trustworthy. I don't know why you'd comment about this documentary without seeing it, but it's probably best to not engage in a discussion about a documentary or any subject matter without being familiar with the material being discussed.

PeterDM I don't have to see the so called movie I lived in the area where this was done. The young boy was the one who was covicted when SA was. He has Autism and would have done anything SA told him to do plus he as I said was raped This young girl was klled so brutely that anyone who does this deserves to stay in prision the rest of his life The Sheriff in that area has been getting so many call from people who are nosey and can't do the job he is to do and that is protect those who need it I didn't need to see this because of the proff that he is quilty He was wrongly put in prision years ago rape but at the same time so many woman didn't have it happen to them since he was in prision He has children Can you imagine how they feel? I feel the girl friend is a fraud only do the fact if he was so bad with her why didn't she go to a woman's shelter I have no patience with woman like that

How do you know if I watched it or not I did not say anything about that

Brendan Dassey has never accused his uncle of assaulting him. Mr. Avery's former girlfriend has changed her comments about her relationship too many times to count, difficult for most to take her seriously.

There was overwhelming blood, bone, DNA evidence proving his guilt. This one sided and ridiculous movie is an insult to the family of the victim. The entire premise of this "documentary" sickens me.

I think someone who would torture a cat or any animal on purpose deserves to be locked away forever. I could care less if he may be innocent of anything else.
