Net flex people I have a question.

We are in the first month, testing of it time. We are thoroughly enjoying the show LOST. Now I wonder if any of you have any suggestions for shows we could watch on this line, or really good serials in Net Flex. We are going crazy about LOST and love it. We just want to know more shows for the future.

What do you suggest? Thanks loads.

House of Cards is my favorite. You'll particularly like it if you are a political junkie. There are currently 3 seasons of shows available. Season 4 will be coming out on March 4th.

My son and I watched lost together when it was on the network and we loved it.

i love Longmire. In fact that is the reason I signed up for Netflix. The show is nothing like lost but a great show.

My 3 favorites are Midsomer Murders, Poirot and Hinterland. I never watch regular tv anymore....LOVE my netflix! (you will too!)

@qualitygal Hope I am not butting in here! If you like mystery and intrigue I believe that Netflix still has The Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents, I would also recommend Star Trek: The Next Generation. My husband and I both enjoyed those shows. The creators of Lost also helped to produce a show called Once Upon a Time, I like it, but my husband does not care for it! It centers around Disney characters.

@HappyDaze Yes they are! I love them! One of my favorites was actually a man discussing his research on mushrooms, he found a native North American variety that was particularly good at absorbing pollution from contaminated water! At one point I actually thought about writing him and request spores so that I could go out and use them to clean up some water by us! Probably wouldn't have been the best idea though! Ha ha! Can't just go scattering spores everywhere!

Edited to give back story - Me and my hubby have cleaned up areas around us before. These are some bags we cleaned up in a wooded area around us! Was pretty gross!

Don't give up on the mushroom idea. If you haven't already, do go ahead and contact that person. I'm sure he would be happy to explain if the mushrooms would be effective and/or environmentally sound in your area.

I love Netflix as well.

@Brittany-QVC lol, I pictured you out there spreading spores around like fairy dust everywhere you went, lololol! Seriously though, I agree with Homegirl and ask the guy. I am interested in that too and would like to hear his TED about it and learn more. Some people keep dumping sheep carcasses in the creek that runs through our property- talk about disgusting (and sad!) and needing to clean up the water! yuck! I can't let my dogs drink that water anymore. Plus I am sure there are chemicals in the water from farming.

And I hear ya on the cleaning up and isn't amazing how much junk is everywhere, even where you least expect it? . I am constantly cleaning up the area around here. Just recently found some buried whitewall 1930's tires out in the middle of nowhere where there were no roads. Weird! They've been dumped there for a long time but darn those things are in almost pristine condition since that rubber never breaks down unfortunately.

@HappyDaze He he he! I like that image! Yes, it does build up in the strangest places! That picture is from the woods that surrounded our old development before we moved. I think what was happening is that people were overfilling their recycle bins and trash cans, then when we got a good wind they would blow over and things would just keep going until they got caught by the trees or the gully. I think that people also just dumped there when they felt like it, I seem to remember a tire or two as well. To be honest, it reminded me of a land fill. There is a nice long creek there too, it even had frogs, deer and birds lived back there, but at the lowest point of the creek it was like a mud flat that had layers and layers of trash in it. We got out as much as we could, but I bet if I went back there today it would be a mess again! Same thing with the woods in some of our local parks.

I will let you know if I am able to find out anything else about those mushrooms, I may do some digging this weekend! It would be pretty cool to be able to make use of them!

Could someone explain to me how you get netflix, and how much it costs? Also the trash ,it just is so terrible how people just throw out beer cans, even bottles along the road where i live, it just scares me how many people drive and drink.

@goldensrbestthere are different payment plans depending on if you want DVDs and streaming, just streaming, or just DVDs. Price also depends on how many DVDs you want out at one time, etc. Just go to netflix and it has all the information there.

Yes, I see beer bottles and cans all along our roads here in the mountains. Scay to think that people are drinking and driving in the first place but even scarier on windy, dark roads with lots of steep cliffs.

@HappyDaze I did some searching this weekend and I believe the man who gave the TED Talk is Paul Stamets! I googled him and did find that some people are already using the mushrooms he talked about in his TED talk to work on stream pollution.
