Per Soap Opera Digest, Slezak has signed a short-term contract to appear on General Hospital, America's longest-running soap opera. There is no confirmation yet of the character she will be playing, or when her scenes will air, but the contract is signed, and Slezak will be back acting in soaps after One Life to Live went off the air in 2013.

A message on the actress's official website read, “At this time, Erika does not know which character she will be playing or when her scenes will air, but is excited to be working again with executive producer Frank Valentini and the cast of GH!” More information surrounding her role would be expected to be released soon.

Daytime Emmy nominees to be announced on July 10th. I've also seen July 15th. By mid month, we should have a list for the October ceremony.

If Jane Elliott and Nancy Lee Grahn, who may cancel each other out because they are probably both supporting, are not up, 😲 they've been robbed and we march at dawn. 🪧✊ Put NLG as lead and you have the problem solved, GH.

GH has swept the past two years in most categories and we've been awarded the best show for four years straight.

It seems to me that Frank and the cheeto brigade decided to rewrite Natalia's character and make her a hemophobic, booze swilling, pill popping, quasi delusional (Sonny leaving with her), pathetic person.

Taking that many pills (antidepressants? tranquilizers?) along with a hefty dose of booze...I guess it's time to say "nighty night Natalia" due to an accidental overdose. Seems Lucas won't be in time to save Marco's mother.

GH RECAP TUESDAY, JULY 1ST

Kristina goes into Charlie’s and notices there is fluid all over the floor. Someone throws a firebomb through the window.

She grabs a fire extinguisher and tries to put it out.

On the turret at Wyndemere, Sidwell watches the fire start and tells one of his people he sees they did the job.

When he goes inside, Alexis walks in and he asks why she wanted this meeting.

She has questions about the things he’s importing. His son may be in charge of his account, but she wants to vet it.

He says most of the contracts are routine. He wonders if she doens’t trust his son.

She claims it is standard to oversee a new associate for the first six months. She can’t see why this is a problem for him.

Sidwell says it’s a waste of time. He suspects she is scrutinizing Marco’s work because he’s his son.

The lawyer insists on going over the paperwork. Sidwell needs a drink.

As Marco drives, he calls Lucas to apologize for letting his mom ruin their night. He sees something and abruptly hangs up.

He rushes into Charlie’s as it burns. Kristina stands there, calling for help.

He covers himself in a blanket, runs through the flames, and rushes her out the back door.

Dante shows up as they stumble into the parking lot.

At Carly’s, Joss and Lucas chat about their nights. She’s staying there to give Trina some privacy. He wishes he had some privacy with Marco.

They chat about the christening drama. She explains that Natalia showed up.

At the Quartermaine’s, Sasha has a hard time letting Daisy out of her sight.

In the foyer, Michael and Sonny talk about being a grandfather until Jason takes his boss away to talk.

Jason informs Sonny that Natalia hasn’t shown up for her flight.

Molly shows up with gifts and Michael explains that Kristina was called off to work.

Carly asks Jason why Natalia was at the chapel. He won’t say.

Sonny returns to talking to Michael about how great the kids were today. Michael remembers what a great dad he was because he always made time for him and made him feel special.

Sonny tells him he’s a wonderful man and he’s proud to be his father. They hug.

Molly admires the baby and Sasha thanks her for coming. Molly admits it hurts but she’s happy for her.

Jason gets a call about the fire at Charlie’s and tells his boss.

The ladies look at photos of teh christening and Carly assures Sasha she can leave the baby with them. Sasha is hyped up and wants to savor every second.

Molly gets a call about the fire and tells Michael. He flashes back to when he was caught in the fire. Molly can hardly hold her keys so Cody offers to drive her.

As they drive, she calls her mom to tell her about the fire.

Molly worries and Cody tries to keep her calm. She wonders if her sister is dying right now, just as they were on track to being sisters again.

He urges her not to torture herself until they know what’s happened.

Jason and Sonny drive up to Charlie’s, surprised to see Marco with Kristina.

She explains that Marco saved her and all the happened. This seems extremely convenient to Sonny.

Molly rushes over and hugs her sister.

Alexis arrives, thrilled to see her daughter alive. She blames Sonny. He passes death and violence onto his family and it needs to stop because she’s not burying another daughter.

Kristina tries stepping up for her father but Alexis won’t back down.

Cody offers to drive the Davis women to the hospital.

Jason and Sonny wonder who started the fire. A fireman comes out and tells Dante that it was arson.

Back at Wyndemere, Sidwell calls his people, outraged that one of Sonny’s kids could have been caught in the fire.

Chase and a cop start banging on Natalia’s hotel room door. Anna joins them and they open the door, finding Natalia unconscious on the sofa.

After she’s taken away, the cops search the room. Chase wonders if this was a suicide.

Anna says it could have been staged and they need to find out who was walking away from her room when they arrived.

At General Hospital, Liz tells Gannon that Portia has been working around the clock.

He notices a picture of Lucky hanging off the side of a mountain on her phone. She says her son sent it.

Aiden and his dad are having a great time.

Natalia is rushed in as an OD. They have to declare her dead.

Liz recognizes her. When she tries calling Marco, she has no luck and calls Lucas over.

She fills him in and they wonder where Marco is.

Anna and Chase join them and they talk about Natalia dying and Marco going missing.

Dante calls Anna and fills her in on the fire and Marco saving Kristina.

Marco wanders in. He hears his mom is there and rushes to her room, finding her body.

Brennan stops by Carly’s to see Joss while she’s alone. He asks if she and Vaughn have a plan for Dalton.

She doesn’t yet. Joss wonders if he is trying to run into her mom. He reminds her that he’s her superior.

Carly pops up and wonders why Jack is there. Joss makes an excuse and immediately leaves.

Carly tells Jack about the fire and how it took her right back to when she was worried about her son surviving.

She gets upset as she thinks of it. Brennan assures her it’s just PTSD and it’s common. It means a lot to her that he knows what she’s feeling.

Carly knows that this is Sonny’s fault. She doesn’t know what she would do if something happened to Donna.

Back at the Quartermaine’s, Michael has to steady himself after flashing back to his burns. He gets an update that Kristina is okay and tells Sasha.

He’d really like a drink but can’t because of his pain pills. The doctors say he should be pain-free soon.

What he has is nothing compared to what he had after the fire when they removed his skin. He’s grateful his sister is okay.

She remembers when he called for her from the burn unit. She didn’t make it there to see him. Michael only wanted to ask her to take care of Daisy.

He’s determined to make sure that all his children are safe.

I am still catching up, but Mikey better watch himself.

If he gets hooked on pain meds, Willow is about to make a roaring comeback as custodial parent and since she's losing it, Drew is about to get nanny duty.

Note to Frank etal: PUHLEASE don't go down the "addiction" road with Mikey. Abstaining from taking alcohol gives me hope.

Well don't we all know that with Sonny's person ready to take Natalia to the airport and captured on security video at her door that Sonny will be in line as a "person of interest" in Natalia's "accidental overdose".

Sidwell: C'mon IF you can't get Sonny out of Port Charles one way or another...is Marco an OK guy? He knows about his father's business (ahem, so do all of Sonny's family about Sonny). BUTTTT....is Marco IN or OUT? To be determined.

Natalia: She and her family are from Puerto Rico...will this be brought forward? And WHO exactly are her family there? Any mob connections? I'm still looking for a Rivera Family connection...a la the late Lily Rivera. Or will this part of her life also to go into GH's writing limbo land? BTW, will Marco contact Blaze to inform her of Natalia's death? We never did know who is Blaze/Allison's father. It was made clear that is isn't Sidwell.

I am really sick of weeping Willow and Drew. They deserve each other without ruining any other lives. Go to DC where their kind of people seem to thrive. I never liked the other Michael...boring. This new one deserves a good story line...without Willow and Drew.
