New soap?

Wasnt there supposed to be a new soap starting this year?

I used to like a few of the old CBS soaps years ago but can't stand the ones left these days. I thought I heard something about new one starting.

Starts on the 24th at 2 PM ET on CBS, I have zero interest in it, one soap a day is plenty for me. It is called Beyond the Gates.

If you like the cancelled P&G soaps, you might like Beyond the Gates. BTG is a co-production of CBS Studios and Procter & Gamble Productions.

I've seen the promos. I'm not impressed with the acting and vibe. Campy and over the top, even for a soap.

I stopped watching soaps years ago. At least 20, probably more. No interest in this one either.

Most likely a pass for me. Soaps aren't what they used to be. Added to the overall demise of the genre, the concept upon which this one appears to be based has been done before.

I loved Another World and Days of our Lives, but when Marlena became possessed by the devil I stopped watching Days. Never went back. Didn't know a new one was starting.

Based on the previews, the acting is awful, way over the top.
I stopped watching soaps when I started working in the 80's.

I wonder if it is similar to Greenleaf from years ago? That was a really good nightime soap......

I am not home during the day-still work fulltime, but if I was I would check it out, even though I am not much for Soap Operas anymore.

Most Lifetime movies are soap operish to me as well.
