They used to...the homes had trees up, the hospital was decorated and Dr. Hardy would read "Twas The Night Before Christmas" to all the little children in the hospital.

Not sure, ABC being more progressive/secular than religious lately, if that still will be the case anymore. I wasn't watching again until late summer this year, myself. We'll have to see, I guess. My thoughts just acknowledge the whole holiday season somehow...with different characters maybe having their different holidays, if ABC wants to be more inclusive. It'd be weird to ignore the whole season on the show.

I was watching Days of Our Lives this week and "Ned" Wally Kurt plays the character Justin on the show.

Something happened to the Thanksgiving Turkey and as he was talking with his wife about making alternate plans he suggested 🍕 PIZZA...of all things.

His wife said that was a sacrilege, and he replied, "In some families it's tradition." 😝

Thanksgiving at the Q's...I am really, really miffed that TPTB decided to totally ignore the Thanksgiving holiday...no pizza and not even a mention of the word, Thanksgiving. Maybe they had writer's block (LOL...seems fairly common with this team) and couldn't come up with an idea on how ruin a traditional holiday meal and bring in the pizza. With a live in cook and 3 excellent cooks in residence; guess it was just too much for them.

Wonder if they will mention Christmas and NY Eve?

Is everyone ready for GH's comeback? Who thinks Ava is going to Pentonville? That's correct. No one! 😂

Who thinks Ava and Ric are about to hook up so she can thank her lawyer properly? That's correct. Everyone! 😘

I don't think we have any thread contests going, yet, this month, but get the olives ready! It's almost showtime again and Willow is looking a little pale... Mikey will probably be out the door once the paternity test comes back and it's Drew's latest bundle of joy.

If GH was smart, Ava and Jack would hook up and explore the city and each other. Both of them need a storyline. Let's show Drew how mature love with class should look.

Ditto, Sonny and Natalia. He still needs to thank her properly for her testimony.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES ALUM WAYNE NORTHROP (EX-ROMAN) PASSES AWAY AT 77

Wayne Northrop, who created the iconic role of Roman Brady on Days of Our Lives and is also known to fans of Dynasty for his portrayal of Michael Culhane on Dynasty, passed away on Friday, November 27 at the age of 77 at the Motion Picture and Television Woodland Hills Home. Since May 9, 1981, the actor was wed to General Hospital star Lynn Herring Northrop (Lucy).

In a statement, Herring Northrop shared, “Wayne was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s 6 years ago. He took his last breath in the arms of his family. We wish to thank the most caring and amazing place, The Motion Picture and Television Home for taking such great care of him. Wayne touched so many people with his sense of humor and wit. A husband for 43 years, the best dad ever to his two boys, Hank and Grady, and a rancher who loved his cows and was a friend to many.”

He met his wife, Herring Northrop, in an acting classs, and the couple went on to welcome two sons, Hank (born on January 8, 18991) and Grady (born on July 20, 1993).

@Laura14 , Very sad about Wayne Northrop. I knew he and Lynne Herring were married but it took a minute to figure who the Herring Northrop was in the article.

As far as Ava and Jack hooking up, great all the way around, especially since that will absolutely fry Carly.

And I would absolutely love if Willow were pregnant by Drew. Both of these things are the GH drama I want to see!

Natalia is just incredibly boring. I think that role was a fail and a waste of payroll.

@Laura14 Thank you so much for posting this. I'm so very sorry to hear about Wayne Northrop. I always thought he was such a handsome man, and it appeared that he and Lynn Herring were a very devoted couple, whose greatest joys were their sons and their ranch. Very sad for long time Days' fans.

Natalia and/or she and Sonny: First let me say I am in complete agreement about the character in that same is boring and frankly useless (per the writers). No sizzle; no steak.

BUTTT...I always suspected that she would be the next "notch" in Sonny's belt. AND...she just comitted perjury on the witness stand. The car accident was Kristina's fault; she was crying and emotionlly upset after leaving the baby's grave and swerved into Natalia's lane. Will that ever come to light? Ahhh, no.

And YES, eventually she and the dimpled Don will consumate their "friendship".

And YES, eventually Ava and Ric will do the horizontal tango. Ric would like it to be with Elizabeth (ain't gonna happen) and the runnerup...is...Ava. Both are at loose ends so to speak.
