Kathy Bates fabulous as always and what a twist and a surprise! I literally yelled "oh wow"! Have my DVR set to record the whole season, it's gonna be great!

I really enjoyed Kathy Bates and her character in the pilot episode. It's great to see a competent, modern woman above 60 in a character on TV. She is such a good actor, too.

@Tinkrbl44 Search for Matlock 2024. It was on CBS, with the first episode of season one just aired. I think they will air the premiere again on Oct., 10th for those who missed it. The second in the season is scheduled for Oct., 17th.

Hope dates are right. They're the dates I found, when I failed to set the DVR with the premiere. I wasn't sure it would interest me, but it looks good.

Well I enjoyed the show and Kathy Bates until the "twist". Why does every show have to do this. Don't think I will watch the show.

I loved the show, except for that final twist at the end. I just don't think the show needs that.

But....I will continue to watch since I adore Kathy Bates.

That's my feeling, too. I will watch because the characters are smart and interesting, and the pacing was good. But how many seasons can the show last with a revenge/get justice sub-plot?

I thought that the "twist" was excellent and should open up many more stories for future episodes/seasons, along with the more predictable lawyering stuff.

The show was awful. Talk about age discrimination. And as usual P+ cut off the surprise ending. Probably won't watch again.

Sean Ritter looks and sounds just like his father. Just saw the ending!! Wow is correct. I will watch again.

The show is fab!!

I will definitely watch at least a few episodes but I don't see how the twist aspect is sustainable unless they have truly genius writers.

I too am a Kathy Bates fan, she was sly in this and she seems to excel in this type of plot. Looking forward to watching it progress just wish we didn't have to wait so long for the next episode. I assume they will show it again before the launch.

Watched Matlock last night and at first I thought it was just okay, kind of predictable, etc.

I almost didn't watch the last few minutes because I had seen what I felt was the end of the show and didn't think anything else was going to happen. But glad I stuck around for the surprise. WOW! Did not see that coming.

I am so glad I watched this premier episode of Matlock 2024.

Loved the twist at the end, as it adds so much dimension to the plot.
Thanks for giving a date for repeat of this episode. It is really essential if anyone is interested in viewing this show. I am confident the level of writing will be very good - the shocker at the end sets the stage for that.
