Sherwood - BBC crime drama series

Just finished watching the first season on Sherwood, a six episode series. What an engaging drama set in Sherwood Forest where murders ignite a manhunt and fan many old flames.

The story is inspired by two real manhunts that took place in 2004. And, feature footage from early 1980s British miners strikes and the political response (Margaret Thatcher supported).

Superb cast and strong writing weave all this together. Watched on Kanopy (free streaming service through my library), but no doubt on BritBox and others. Apparently, there is a season two in the works. Cheers.

Yes, season one is also on Britbox. It was indeed good.

We watched on Brittbox about a year or so ago and enjoyed it. David Morissey did his usual fine job and it was quite enjoyable.
