I'm not too crazy about who they picked. She came across as disinterested, petty and seemed like a mean girl on The Bachelor but despite that, I'll probably watch it anyway. Lol

This show and the The Bachelor are my guilty pleasures. It is totally mindless and any concentration or attention is not needed.

That said, I don't know if I can get through this particular Bachelorette. I did not care for her on the last show she was on.

I did see some previews of the show and quite a few of the guys are crying (LOL). Perhaps there is some redeeming drama in the house that might draw me in.

I agree with @GenXmuse @Mersha @Fifi1 , I was not impressed with Jenn in the Bachelor and was very disappointed in this choice. However, I will give it a shot and watch a couple episodes and see if I can handle watching her for a full season.

My guilty pleasure as well. Very mindless.

Hey ladies! I totally agree with you all! I heard she was not the first choice or the second! I know it's mindless but I watch while I doing dishes or something like that! We will have to chat on Tuesday and dish ( or As they say now...spill the tea) on our thoughts!

I imagine that I will check it out, but I am not a fan of hers. I thought she was a mean girl on Joey’s season. She has already been complaining about lack of diversity in the chosen men and was also mad that there weren’t more Asian men. Definitely a complainer so if anything, this should be interesting if I can make it through the Season.

The first choice for Bachelorette was Maria Georgas from Joey's season of "The Bachelor."

I read originally she agreed and was in the process of doing outfit fittings and changed her mind feeling she was just not ready for the process.

I'm joining all of you as it is one of my "mindless" shows that is entertaining. I, too, am not fond of her and if she's already complaining, she shouldn't have signed up for it.

I saw one of the bachelors is from Manheim, PA if I read correctly. I've been to that area a few times and it's very nice.

Some of the entrances were cringy and if I were Jenn two or three would never have made it inside.

On first impression there are two that I think could go a long way and it seems Jenn thought so too.

I don't know if I am just desperate for some comfort food tv or summer tv is slim pickings but I was entertained by last nights episode.

Jenn was way more likable than I thought. She was quick, funny and sweet. The guys were for the most part normal and some even attractive.
Humminbird Nest is very near where my parents were buried 2 years ago so I was distracted. Only about a 30 minute drive from the old mansion so I don't know why they switched.
So I am watching next week.

I found this in regard to the change from the usual bachelor mansion to the new location.

Monday’s season premiere of ABC‘s reality dating show (8/7c), with Bachelor alum Jenn Tran handing out the roses, was not filmed at the familiar “Bachelor mansion,” TVLine has confirmed. Instead, the episode was filmed at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley, California. A source tells TVLine the change was due to the season’s shooting schedule, which had Jenn and her men jetting off to Australia right after the premiere.

The traditional Bachelor mansion is located in Agoura Hills, California, and is actually owned and lived in by Marshall Haraden and his family; ABC merely rents the residence each year for 42 days for its shoots. The Mediterranean-style house has been home to The Bachelor since Season 11, aside from the COVID pandemic forcing a move to hotels for several seasons beginning in 2020.

My favorites so far are Marcus the Army Ranger, Austin the streaker, and Thomas N. the retirement advisor Vietnamese guy who is a swimmer . Jen seems to have too much chemistry with the handsome contractor from Florida - I hope she keeps an open mind and gives all of the other hunks chances to get to know her. The cute Pet Portrait CEO guy made a great point to the other guys about how some flames take longer to develop and some are so hot that they burn out too quickly. I think the 1st kiss that Jen had with the contractor was a little too raunchy for a very first kiss.
