07/21/2024 Big Brother 26 Live Feed Spoilers and Updates!!!

Well, that was fun. Yesterday saw the picking of the POV players and the POV comp, but before all of that Angela put on quite the performance as she descended from her HOH room and verbally assaulted Matt.

Angela had her consultations with the houseguests on who to nominate before the feeds came on, so we missed all of that, but in those talks, Matt reportedly said something like, "If you don't nominate me, I won't nominate you when I win HOH, but if you put me up, I'll put you up." She mulled that over and decided it was a threat instead of an offer of mutual safety and used it to claim Matt verbally assaulted and threatened her. She calls Matt "crazy eyes" (and his eyes are a bit weird) and a long spiel went back and forth between the two.

Then came the picking of the POV players (Angela, Brooklyn, and Joseph.) Then the POV comp. Angela was making the rounds of the house and trying to explain her outburst and somewhat apologize for what had happened between the picking of the POV players and the POV comp.

The POV comp was the spelling comp where they had to crawl through a pool of honey to get letters and then spell the longest word. This is typically known as the 'technotronics' comp thanks to Jeff of Jeff and Jordan's fame who was sure 'technotronics' was a word. Lisa won the POV and plans to use it on herself. Angela's happy about that as it will give her the option to put up Matt and his "crazy eyes" and vote him out.

Matt started counting votes after the POV comp and thinks he'll be safe. He might, but Angela still has a lot of support in the house and could rally the votes against him. It'll be Matt or Kenney leaving as Kimo seems safe. The wildcard in all of this is Makensy who's in the early stages of a showmance with Matt and she has America's Veto that lets her pull down a nominee and America then replaces that nominee. (Presumably the viewers, but it would be funny if it was last year's houseguest named America making the call. She's a live feed watcher and superfan, so that would make some sense and be funny.)

They finally got the backyard last night, so expect lots of yard time today once everyone wakes up and gets around. Nothing else should be on the schedule for today, so everyone will get a chance to spread out, get some sunshine, and relax for a day. Makensy will be stressing over whether to use her power on Matt or save it for later. (She told Matt she has the power and he told her not to use it on him.) The houseguests will all be lying to everyone on the block all week and assure them they have their votes, so Matt might think he's safe even if he isn't. Either Matt or Kenney will be leaving on Thursday. Kimo seems very safe. At least for now.

There are countless alliances in the house for now. Leah and Makensy (also known as MJ in the house) seem the most allied. They're pretty much in every alliance. Tucker, Kimo, Kenney, and T'kor are the least allied, but even they have one or more alliances they're in. (By the way, kudos to my computer's spell checker for already figuring out that Kimo, Makensy, T'kor, and Kenney are real names and not misspellings.)

It should be a quiet day to decompress for everyone. They get a chance to be outside, spread out, and find some individual space for the first time since moving in. Lisa and Leah hopped in the shower together yesterday and sat on the floor there for a chat to get some privacy in the house. With sixteen people in the house, it's hard to get away from everyone else. The Have Not room is also being used as a refuge for anyone who wants to get away from the crowd for a bit.

I'll post back later if anything major breaks, but this should be a quiet day. They typically get to sleep in on Sundays and relax for a bit.

I forgot to mention it, but it's Sunday, so we have a show tonight! We'll see the aftermath of everyone moving in and getting settled, their "I'm so and so from such and such and I'm a whatever" speeches. Then we'll get their first DR sessions where they try to set up the future showmances. "He/she is just what I'm looking for!" We'll see who lies about their jobs (Kenney for sure.) Their age (I don't think anyone did this year, but we'll see.) And more. We should see the HOH comp and the nominations. That will set the stage for Wednesday's show where we get Angela's meltdown, the picking of the POV players, and the POV comp. Then Thursday's live eviction. (I'm guessing the use or non-use of the powers will take place tomorrow also so it can be edited into Wednesday's show.)

I'm going to start by giving kudos to @gardenman for his ability to keep track of what goes on in the live feeds. I tried watching for a while last night and got frustrated mostly with the sound. I either couldn't hear even at max volume on my TV because some of the whispering was so low or the camera would switch and my ears were blasted.

How do you do it? Do you have tips and tricks for watching the live feeds?

A question: Can Makensy use her America's Veto power on herself?

Yeah, the volume is a neverending issue. If you turn it up loud enough to hear everything, they'll go to fish and deafen you. It's especially bad for headphones users. I keep a finger on the mute button or the volume control. It's been that way forever. ED and his daughter in season eight specialized in stealth whispering and you'd turn up the volume to hear and BB would scream "Stop whispering!" and deafen the feed watchers.

We don't know all of the details of the powers that were won, but I would assume Makensy could use it on herself.

Angela is spiraling again. (Maybe yet?) She now is afraid if she puts up Matt he'll stay and want her out, so she might put someone else up. Lisa suggested another guy so the girls will still have numbers, but Angela doesn't seem to be in agreement.

Angela and Matt had a long chat in the bathroom. Matt threw around a bunch of names as replacements, but we'll have to see what Angela does. It could still be Matt going up tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure Leah was cast to be the bikini girl this year. She was flaunting her assets in the preshow interviews and also with her opening night outfit. In the house she's been largely wearing oversized sweats and showing very little skin. She's there for eye candy. I don't hate her, but I don't think she's there for long. I'm not sure anyone will fight to keep her in the game.

One show and I am so over Angela. If I were in the house I think I would be begging to go on the block.

LOL, she brought back memories of a client from days long gone. Whoever had to deal with her got "combat pay" in the form of an extended lunch period or special treat. Once even flowers from the "boss".

Thinking about the house guests not knowing who the final two nominees are until shortly before the vote is a positive. Too many "house votes" the past couple seasons.

IMO it would be even better if those voting didn't find out who they were until they were in the diary room to cast their vote.

She is trying hard to fit in by acting like a teenager and it doesn't work plus she is playing too hard, too fast. Also Matt need to keep his mouth shut. He says too much to too many people. People need to listen more than they talk in this game.
