I wish her All The Best...years of being abused & helpless to end it, I know some just don't understand & condemn her. All of the professionals she saw & they all missed what was happening to her. What she did was wrong but I understand how she believed it was the only way out.

@kitcat51 , I agree and I, too, wish her many years of a wonderful life. We watch the show and she endured such horrific cruelty for way too long. The "professionals" let her down. It's nice to see her out of both prisons and enjoying her life.

Many people have rotten childhoods. Only this one murdered her mother and has tried to make a career of being a victim. She needs to just go away.

I will not applaud a woman who murdered her parent by saying that was her only way out, etc. I had no idea who this woman was and have not watched it. I have seen the name on my dish guide but had no idea! Have we no sense of right and wrong anymore?! Of course she's guilty! Murder isn't condoned in our society or shouldn't be! Talk about no voice for the victim! And then to profit from it. Gross.
Further evidence ( as if more is needed) how little this country knows about right and wrong anymore.

@cheriere the new boyfriend is her ex-fiance, and he is the dad. In the best of situations, a stable, well-adjusted pregnant woman can still have issues physically and emotionally with impending motherhood--even with the best of support systems. Gypsy is not that. That poor baby being brought into such a mess.

It's sad to me to see anyone like Ms Blanchard "starring" in a reality show. I understand her years of abuse and trauma, but having a show about her is just wrong to me. I know a lot of people like to watch the reality shows but I am not one of them.

Her mother was a monster who used her daughter for sympathy & profit....if you haven't watched it you have no idea what that poor girl went through.

May I say that being in the field of mental health, any form of abuse on a child is horrendous be it physical, emotional, mental, situational, sexual, verbal, environmental. With that said, this child endured it all - rolled up into a mentally ill mother. While I am not excusing her act, what most folks do not realize is child abuse, more specifically extreme and constant, actually changes the DNA of a human being, leaving permanent marks. More than likely, Gypsy had a predisposition as her mother was mentally ill. No, not everyone resorts to murder, but many do just to end the present unimaginable pain, only to be left with a lifetime of trauma.

It's hard to say what kind of mother she will be...some who survive horrific abuse are good and capable moms, while others repeat the pattern. I just hope she's stable enough to handle the overwhelming demands of being a mom. That would be a concern.

@kitcat51 @Midmod - I've watched the previous documentaries and news items about her. I've read about the abuse her mother inflicted on her. It's a well-known syndrome: Munchausen-by-proxy. Clearly, the mother had her own mental health issues.

However, Rose managed to convince her boyfriend, who she met online, to actually kill her mother. She did the planning; even supplying the things (duct tape, gloves and a knife) used in the crime.

And after he murdered Dee-Dee, they went to Rose's room and had sex. Then planned their getaway.

She was old enough at that point to have simply asked her boyfriend to help her leave home. To help her talk to authorities, if necessary. Dee-Dee couldn't have legally stopped her.

Yes, she was abused. But this was not a sudden crime of passion. It was carefully planned out - by Gypsy-Rose. I have no interest in seeing her treated as some kind of celebrity now that she's been released from prison.

Her unfortunate (convenient for her) "boyfriend" is in prison for the rest of his life; no parole. He's not the first man to be convinced by a woman to carry out her plans and pay the ultimate price for it. He won't be the last.

She only got 10 years (served 8) even though she was the driving force behind it. She gets no sympathy from me and I find it disturbing that she's being feted and making a living from it all. I somehow don't think she's any better than her mother and I feel sorry for any child she brings into this world. May God protect that child.

She had a horrific childhood but she has managed to monetise it. If they didn't have the audience, they wouldn't make these reality shows. Many of these reality shows aren't worth turning the TV on. I always wonder who watches these shows.

I already stated the murder was wrong but I do understand it because I was physically abused & more but what I went through is nothing compared to what she endured....I can't imagine a life where you're forced to act handicapped, be in a wheelchair & never allowed to growup so the sympathy & gifts the mother received would never end. I hope one day she has a normal life, sadly it hasn't happened & I don't know if it ever will....I know the damage from an awful childhood is hard to repair, I wish her well.
