Is anyone watching those Gypsy Rose Blanchard shows?

I always thought her story was so tragic and felt so sorry for the way her mother abused her for so long. It was interesting, but now that Lifetime is making Gypsy a reality star, it's even worse. I haven't watched any of these shows because I think they are exploiting this very disturbed young woman for ratings and shock.

I was kind of glad not to see any threads, because I was hoping that meant that no one else was watching, either. But, just wanted to check. I am so sick of the one where she says that she isn't sure she wants to stay in her 'marriage' and will eventually want a divorce. What the heck?! And, no, she never should have been married to that guy.

I don't think she stands a chance of a normal life, as much as she says she wants one. I hope she disappears somewhere and tries to be invisible.

I watched a bit of it because I had the Lifetime channel on and was also curious after hearing her story many years ago. I found the entire thing pretty boring and felt as if she shared too much of her personal life. From what I understand she's divorcing or may be divorced and is with another man. I believe she's trying to stay out of the public eye now as well due to her bad experiences. She's received many death threats which they talk about on the show.

On the rare occasion I've seen her on TV, I find that I'm embarrassed for her. She has absolutely nothing to offer in the way of entertainment or interest. She's just an average, not-too-bright girl who needs to get out of the public eye, get her act together and go live her life privately. I don't want to see more of her.

Gypsy has from childhood become addicted to fame.

Thanks for the responses. I haven't watched any of them, but I see the previews on Lifetime non-stop. And, I agree that selling herself/her story is all she knows. Hopefully, she will get a new job and learn some new skills, but she will probably be hired for the same reason Lifetime is using her.

She's the one whose mother had Munchhausen by Proxy and was subjected to many unnecessary surgeries throughout her life, starting when she was a child.

She begged her BF at the time to kill her mother, so it would stop.

They were both convicted, she got 10 years and he got life. She recently got out of jail after serving 8 years.

I agree with you. Yes, she underwent terrible abuse. And all of this ended in her mother being murdered. I am sorry, not sorry, but she should not be getting t.v. shows and getting paid, and being made out to be a "star." This is totally not appropriate!

I watched an episode of "Snapped" a few years ago about Gypsy Rose. I felt bad for her and what her mother did to her.

After she & her boyfriend were brought into court, the report said that friends & family were shocked that she walked into the courtroom beause nobody knew she could walk because of her mother mistreating her for her whole life and made her stay in the wheelcair.

Its too bad that they killed her mother. My thought is to go to the authorities, report what has been happening and then the daughter could go visit her in jail (and taunt her). I think that would be worse for the abuser. If the abuser is killed, its over. I think being in prison with many years to think about what she did to another would be torment for her like she inflicted on her daughter.

Just my thoughts

I watched because the whole tiktok was full, but I wasn't very fascinated.
