Have to say there was nothing good about the 80's fashion and hair. It was hideous. Lisa's talent was very impressive and she looked very pretty and poised. And it was great hearing Dolly singing 9 to 5. Thanks for posting.

I totally agree with you as well but I forgot to include some of my favorite shows like Dallas, Dynasty, Falcon Crest....and my #1 was Miami Vice!!

@Texas Gray Wolf All of those TV shows are fantastic! I love to Youtube the glamorous cat fights between Alexis and Krystle on Dallas- how many crystal vases were broken during production ?! Ooh and Miami Vice with the hunky Don Johnson- he rocked his pastels and crisp white suits like no other!

I loved the 80s too. I got married in 1982 and had my kids then. It was a fun time being new parents and the styles are fun to look back on. Some of the hair styles are a bit over the top but I liked the music a lot then.....much more so than today.

@Coastalcarolina I've seen clips of Knots Landing! They need to bring full episodes on screening platforms! The 80's were the golden age of soap operas: the fights, the makeouts, the big beautiful hair and the elegant violin and flute music and the home decor.

I think Lisa stood apart from the other contestants during the talent competition. Singing the Tennessee Waltz and playing the fiddle was a great choice.

I was born in 1988 and I absolutely love the 80's- the music, fashion, hair, tv, movies etc. I even work out exclusively to my huge 80's aerobics VHS tape collection! I went to a VIP ticket Poison, Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Motley Crew all in one night concert and I got to meet Bret Michaels and his band Poison before the concert and Bret and I talked and he called me beautiful, held my hands as I was talking to him about how much I enjoyed his music and he gave me a big lingering hug- so great! His eyes are like two beautful turquoise hotel swimming pools

I bought some 80's Cosmopolitan magazines on ebay and its so much fun to look through the fashion and makeup adds, such beautiful and colorful makeup and clothing and the hair was so big and full back in the day- natural texture was embraced and enhanced instead of everything needing to be blown out and sleek on celebs these days. I read through the articles in one of my 80's magazines- Matt Dillon was an up and coming heartthrob in the issue I bought.
