The Final Episode Of I Love Lucy

Was watching I Love Lucy and the episode when they were leaving the Mertz's apartment to move to the country. It was a touching episode of them saying bye. I felt that should have been the final episode so the show had an ending instead of the way it ended.

This is true, but I have to admit I really like most of the Connecticut episodes.

My favorite episodes of I Love Lucy are the road trip to Hollywood. I enjoyed the episodes when the Ricardos and Mertzes moved to Conn. They were funny and still make me laugh, timeless comedy.

Loved the Hollywood and Connecticuts-I think that I was tired of the little NYC apt too

@aj1980 I loved the CT episodes though.

The one where Lucy & Ethel tried to hide the hundreds of baby chicks was my all time favorite. In fact, the dance scene of Lucy & Ricky rehearsing for the show, while Lucy had a belly full of eggs was priceless. The two of them colliding together and smashing the eggs in her shirt was the longest laugh the show received in the entire series.

I never liked the episodes after they moved to Connecticut.

The episode where they dedicated a satue and lucy ended up being the statue. It was the last show , there was no finale

Mind you, the CT episodes were good, but a show like I love lucy should have had some kind of ending. I just thought them saying goodbye in NY would have been a fitting final moment

There was one where Ricky and Fred built a fireplace in the back yard. For some reason -can’t remember Lucy and Ethel tore it down and rebuilt it! Ricky’s eyes when he saw it ! Hilarious

@Beacon girl- They tore the bbq down because Lucy lost her wedding ring and Lucy & Ethel thought she lost it in the bbq when they tried to build it. It turns out it was in the hamburger patty that Ricky cooked and Lucy bit down on it and found it. Great episodes from Conn.

The final time Lucy and Desi filmed together was in March 1960 when they were making the one hour Lucy Desi Comedy Hour shows, the one with Edie Adams and Ernie Kovacs was the final one. It was during the fliming that Lucy asked for a divorce.

I also loved The Lucy and Desi Comedy Hour, each episode had a star. they were still in the Connecticut house, and this ended their shows together. The episode with Paul Douglas is so funny.

I just watched the Lucy and Desi Comedy Hour for the first time this weekend. Catchy TV was doing a marathon. I must admit I didn't care for it.. However I am still a huge I love Lucy fan and still laugh even though I have been watching for 50 years.
