FBI True.

Is anyone here watching this new show? I'm a huge fan of all of the FBI shows but this one is different. You get to see and hear the real agents take on all of these tragic events.

The one this week about the Boston Marathon bombing was exceptionally informative. They brought out a few parts of this horrendous event that I had never heard before.

I lived in Northern Virginia for a few years so the story of the Beltway Shooter is going to be especially revealing.

I was no longer living there at that time but many of my friends were and they told me how frightening it was to even venture out of the house. No one knew where or when they might encounter these shooters.

I'm not a morbid person but true crime has always held a special interest to me. I guess I've always wondered what aberrant psychological issues would cause a person or persons to commit such heinous acts.

I experienced the Beltway Sniper reign of terror and have absolutely no desire to relive it.

The day one of the convicted criminals involved was put to death was a relief.

I will be out for this show.

I thought the Boston Massacre was last week's episode. My Guide is showing the hunt for mobster Whitey Buger and an FBI plan to dismantle rival gangs in a small town.

The first episode I saw about the guy in AL who kidnapped a kid off a school bus and kept him in a bunker was a bit of a disappointment for me since it was basically a retread of another show I saw several years ago. So, I haven't been particularly interested in watching.

I have watched these shows, but not planning to tonight. I have zero interest in hearing anything else about Whitey Bulger. Such a piece of cr*p.

I'm a huge fan of real crime shows. I have no desire to watch the fake crime dramas on tv.

I've watched a couple of the FBI True shows and have another recorded. I liked them. Several networks carry a lot of real crime shows. Most are very good. ID is my favorite along with A&E and others.

I love true crime shows and had high hopes for this one, but I'm very disappointed. Each of the cases they've featured has been covered over and over on other shows and documentaries. I was hoping they'd feature cases that the public didn't know about, reveal how they captured the criminals and ulitmately solved the crimes. I actually fell asleep watching it last night. How many times can we hear about the Whitey Bulger case?

I have been watching true crime episodes on mostly YouTube (trying to avoid commercials).

Have been studying/reading about psychopaths and their psychology for about three years. Watching true crime is a rather new endeavor for me.

My current reference books are those written by Martha Stout, PhD.

She is a highly qualified therapist and has had occasion to study these "types" in her years of clinical practice. I am also interested in what has made people of this type. Stout explains the evolution of a person's criminality better than I have ever found before!
