I subscribed to Netflix about three months ago. Enjoyed watching Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds and also Psycho.

Had not seen either one of these movies for probably 30 years or so.

Recently I wanted to watch them again. Took me awhile to find and screen stated I would need to pay $3.99 even though I have a Netflix monthly subscription.

Is that common or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any insight.

i think there are 3 levels, of netflix. we have the 6.99 and it stated not everything would be available and might have commercials. So, it might tie into that.

they might be at the library, for no charge or just do a google search and they might be on reg. tv.

It sounds like they discontinued those movies which happens after they have run them for quite a while...Some of the on-demand channels, such as Tubi, have a category titled..."Leaving Soon"...to let viewers know so they have a chance to watch a certain show or movie again before it is discontinued...Unfortunately, Netflix doesn't have this feature.

Do you get Peacock or Sundance TV?...I noticed that your movies are available on those channels.

Are you using the "Search" and "My List" features on Netflix?...They are very handy to search for whatever type of shows you like and to store your favorite shows/movies so that they are readily available when you want to continue with or watch over again.
