I recently finished Rose Red - on YouTube.

And 1922 on Netflix - OMG - creepy and freaky and scary. SPOILER: there are some rat scenes

Yes but, SK book versions do not carry well over to the tv movie versions. Except for Salems Lot. Book & tv movie (pt 1) were very scary.

My absolute favorite King book is THE STAND. It scares the you know what out of me because it could happen, and almost did in 2020. There have been two different mini-series filmed, which were just okay, but the novel is the best.

I have read most of his books and have watched most of his movies too.

As expected, the books are better than the movies. My husband recently was on a Stephen King marathon and was watching his movies one after other.

Recently, he watched Misery, Cujo, Pet Sematary, The Shining, Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, Carrie, Christine, The Green Mile and maybe a few others.

Stephen King doesn't just write horror or scary stories. He is multi talented.

Through the years I've watched some of them. I've also toured the Stanley Hotel which was the inspiration for his novel The Shining. It's in Colorado and supposed to be one of the most haunted hotels in the United States.

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is playing on Paramount+. It's a pre-qual to the original. Starts 50 yrs before the original movie.

@qualitygal Four non-horror but serious subject movies based on Stephen King's novels come to mind: Dolores Claiborne, The Green Mile, Misery, and The Shawshank Redemption. I've watched each of them more than once and conceivably would watch any of them again.
