I'm a fan of Virgin River and just finished watching all of Season 5. What did you think of it?

Trying to take in all the twists! I have some theories but I enjoyed it. You have to suspend reality to a large extent. I mean, Calvin, Melissa, the FBI knows they ran drugs and laundered money yet the operation will be tweaked and emerge again. Speaking of Calvin, do we think it was Melissa, Charmaine (unlikely) or a mystery female who blew up Calvin's boat?

I'm finding it boring. Nothing like the books. I don't know why they had to change it so much. I basically listen to it and am on my iPad at the same time.

I found myself zoning out on Jack and Mel a lot. He was getting on my last nerve a number of times but especially in regards to pregnancy.

And boy Preach can sure rebound from a broken heart quickly! lol

But overall I liked it and look forward to the next two shows of the season.

@missy mouse , I have not read the books. I will have to look them up to see the changes. I think for the most part any movie or series based on books is a disappointment.

I enjoy it, although it is so predictable. I think what I enjoy the most is watching Jack. He is so easy on the eyes.😃😃

I just started watching this show a few months ago. I haven't read the books. Loved the character development and relationship between Doc and Mel in the first season. That is my favorite season so far. Seasons 2, 3, & 4 were ok. Just started watching Season 5.

Some of the repetitive situations and soap opera elements get on my nerves, but I keep watching because I like and care about the characters. Glad Jack is finally getting therapy because I was getting tired of him saying one thing to Mel and doing another. I realize he's been through a lot. She's been through so much she probably needs therapy too. 🤔

I have not seen the series but the books were outstanding. All of Roybn's books are. I am always on the lookout for her newest release.

This genre is generally not my jam but I like Alexandra Breckenridge, never read the books, wanted to see what Virgin River is all about.

I love Doc & Hope and Mel & Jack, also the sewing circle ladies crack me up but the rest of it is just noise to me. I have a hard time keeping up with characters & their back story, probably because I kind of zone out.

All of the romantic relationships seem so mismatched for a variety of reasons. But I guess that's what makes for a good drama.

I'm looking forward to the holiday episodes, surely by then Charmaine will have had the babies!
