Looking for scary movie recs on netflix

I like scary shows....not slasher bloody stuff. Like the first Haunting movie where everything was only implied.

Can anyone recommend such a movie on Netflix? I watch most of the paranormal shows but most are almost laughable, especially Ghost Adventures. I do like Ghost Hunters, though.

Have you ever watched Paranormal Witness? It's a series about people's real life experiences. It used to come on one of the Discovery channels. I think it's on netflix now but I'm not sure.

A Quiet Place! 😬🤯 It's not so much blood and gore, but scary intense suspense. At least that's what is was for me.

I had to watch a lot of Disney movies after that to clear my brain, and I slept with a lot of lights on for a few days! Cripes! LOL!!! I don't do Netflix, but it is on Amazon.

Have you tried typing "scary movies" in Netflix search field? It's easier to do on a comp than on your tv or devices. More choices pop up on a comp & tv than on a smaller device.

I have to give you ladies credit for watching those scary movies especially if you live alone, I am such a chicken when it comes to watching anything scary! They definitely would mess me up for a long time. I only recommended 'The Watcher' because it was highly recommended by those who did watch it, I only got through watching the 1st episode and that was it, got too scary for me!

It's really hard to find a scary movie with no blood and only on Netflix. I'm still thinking...

I live alone and watching these movies doesn't scare me in the least. It's been years since I've had a really good scare and that was "The Descent" from 2005. Not on Netflix and there's blood. I think it's on Prime for rental.

@MoJoV - I agree that The Descent is a good one. I've watched it more than once. The sequel is not as good.

I binged on The watcher this weekend, it was good. Some of the neighbors were almost comical they were so wierd but I did enjoy the series it was entertaining.

I don't know if it is on Netflix but the movie "Carnival of Souls" is worth watching. It is a black and white movie that came out in 1962. George Romero said that the ghouls in the movie inspired him to create the zombies in the "Night of the Living Dead" movie.
