@Boomernichols Got it all set to record. I've seen so many through the years and read so many books I hope they have updated information although I don't see how they could. Sadly this murderer has probably outlived the relatives of the deceased.

@Spacrazy Updated info about what? Killers captured & imprisoned. As far as I know, all killers have been found, tried & imprisoned. How each victim were killed, matter of death has all been confirmed.

What needs to be updated? How the prisoners are adjusting to prison life, parole life, etc?

@meallen616 We'll have to disagree on this one. She's now a harmless old lady who ruined her own life with a rash, thoughtless, youthful decision. Kids do stupid things.

She's served a long sentence and has paid for what she did. I don't begrudge an old lady a few years of peace at this point. I just hope she has the grace to live them quietly.

@Mz iMac By updated I mean anything we haven't known before or how any of the deceased's relatives feel about her release or how the recently released killer is expected to live in today's world or anything I haven't known in fifty plus years I have been following these heinous murders.

Now you can pick my entry apart since you seem to enjoy that or allow me to continue my give and take with other like minded members in this group that have become very enjoyable to me.

I wouldn't classify her as harmless. Just because she is old doesn't mean that she has changed her ways. She should die in jail like Manson and Atkins. I don't see her providing any meaningful contribution to society.

@Boomernichols I plan to take a pass. I spent my first 61 years in Southern California and was inundated with these stories for YEARS. It's fine for those interested but I read and heard enough about these pieces of human garbage to last me the rest of my ilfe.

I hope "the one released" has a miserable existence and is ill treated wherever she lands. Mean? Not half as bad as what she and the rest did.

@lgfan Are you the same person you were at age 18? Did you make some stupid decisions as a youth? She looks about as dangerous as a crocheted doily.

Yes, I made some dumb choices at the age of 18 but it didn't include murder. As far as appearances go they can be deceiving. Remember the criminal case of the elderly woman who killed her boarders and continued collecting their social security? No one one thought she could hurt a fly either.

Leslie Van Houten held down Rosemary LaBianca while her husband was murdered.

She then took a knife & stabbed Rosemary LaBianca at least 14 times & then they cut her up. (From Wikipedia)

I don't care if she's elderly and feeble and no longer harmful to others.

She should still be punished with life in prison.

The crime against the LaBiancas was unforgivable (in my opinion.)

We'll probably watch the latest on the Manson family but I know tales from friends who grew up in Trona (where some of Charlie's family still lives) and oh the stories they tell. My friend was from there and she and her first husband went 4 wheeling one day and ended up on Manson ranch and actually were stopped by his guards. Good thing they were all from Trona; the next week the gang was captured at the Ranch.
