"A Hard Days Night"

This classic black and white was on the other night. It's been a while since I last viewed it. I still like to see the Fab Four when they were young and the world was more innocent. I had a thing for the late Geoge.

I've seen it so many times I can quote the entire movie, word for word. When it was first released in 65(?), my friends and I, all Beatlemanics, sat thru it 8 times. I still love it and will watch it whenever it's on.

I caught a few minutes of one last week on TMC with the Dave Clark Five in it. Couldn't watch though because I had to go to PT. They were a favorite of mine from the British Invasion.

When Hard Day's Night came out my girlfriends and I couldn't wait to see it. The theater was filled to the brim with Beatle fans and it was a wonderful experience and time! I still love the movies they made and of course their music.

@Puzzle Piece There's a tribute group called the Fab Four. If they ever play in your neck of the woods, I bet you'd love it. The "George" impersonator is named Gavin Pring and he's a dead ringer for GH. We've seen the show twice. The first time, we sat in the middle of the front row. He motioned to me, to come close to the stage. He got down on his knee and handed me his pick to strum his guitar. In my head, it WAS George and I was young again....for a few seconds. It's a really fun show.

I was 4 and I hadn't started Kindergarten yet. And the world was never innocent.

I'll have to look for it ... would love to see it again. I remember someone talking about how many ways the Beatles were innovators. Hard Days Night was the very first music video.

I read that this movie inspired the Monkees television series. They both have this surreal quality. One of my favorite lines is when an agent or manager is commenting on the size of Ringo's nose. Ringo responds by saying "Why don't you pick your own nose".

@Tinkrbl44 The Big Bopper coined that phrase and made several rock music videos in the 1950's long before the Beatles.

We could actually go back several decades but suffice to say The Big Bopper started it.

@lgfan And my favorite line was at the press conference when a reporter asks John "How do you find America?" and he responds "Turn left at Greenland." 🤣

Best soundtrack ever!
