Who’s going to watch “Being Mary Tyler Moore” tonight?

It's on HBO at 7 pm, CT. I really like her, so I definitely plan to watch tonight. Many documentaries on HBO are very well done....I'm hoping this one will be good.

I might if I had HBO. I used to watch The Mary Tyler Moore show. Not so much when she was with D I C K VD.

The use of asterisks for certain names is absurd!

Seems to me that Marlo Thomas and MTM were some important "ground breaking gals" in their personalification for Professional Women, on the Up & Coming! Perhaps even moving our Culture to more acceptance of this wonderful opportunity vision for women!!

I used to 'copy' my older sisters who copied (fashions) That Girl and Mary Tyler Moore.

Those were fun days.

Trying to become (copy fashions and life styles) of 'this or that' person(s).

I was also taken aback by a particularly harsh comment, but every performer is not for everyone.

I found her to be one of the finest comedic actresses I've ever watched, particularly the timing and deliveries of her scenes with Valerie, Cloris, Ed and other MTM costars.

Later in life she was a great, relentless supporter of animals and juvenile diabetes research.

Sure, she had troubles and dark episodes, as every life does. She addressed some of these in her autobiography, After All.

I watched the documentary & thought it was good. I learned that she helped the portrayal & roles of women in the media and inspired some women. I believe she was very talented, but I also think the writers of the DVD show and the MTM show had a lot to do with her success and the way women's portrayals evolved.

I don't think I learned much about her personality.

I remember when I started college telling a BFF that I wanted to be like MTM: move away and start a career when I graduated. So, the changing times for women & a little subtle MTM must have impacted me.

I just to watch those shows when they first came on TV. Loved them. We had good clean shows back in the day, not like the c--p on today.
