Ghosts sitcom: anyone care to speculate?

Spoiler alert in case anyone hasn't watched the season finale yet. I'm speculating on the cliffhanger ending.

What ghost does everyone think might have gone to Heaven, or, in the parlance of the show, been "sucked off"? I am thinking either Alberta, since she now knows who her killer was, or Hetty, since she has admitted she has learned that women can be friends, not rivals, and can have jobs and be independent. What do any of you who also watch the show think? I doubt it's one of the basement/cholera ghosts, but maybe Higgentoot or his British officer boyfriend? Not Thorfinn or Sas or Flower, their issues don't seem resolved yet. I think Alberta and Hetty are my top two candidates.

@CamilleP , but Hetty and Alberta are such important characters...but yes, they do seem to be the logical ones to go. I am hoping it is Nigel or one of the basement ghosts or the teen ghost Stephanie and not one of the main ghosts. Hopefully when it resumes they will all still be there and explain why one of the other random ghosts was sucked off.

I agree, @Wsmom , I'd hate to lose any of the sort of "main" ghosts, but perhaps one of the actors has another project and doesn't want to do another year of sitcom work, so has asked to be written out of the show? I also agree with you that teen ghost Stephanie can go away, she's horrible! I wouldn't miss that female basement ghost, either, but she might be a useful character for a plot point, didn't they give the important clue about who really poisoned Alberta? Or did they help Sam and Jay find the ghost who didn't, in the end, father the fake cousin? Guess I shouldn't have deleted that season finale off my DVR, huh?

I don't want it to be any of the main ghosts. I'd pick Stephanie, but I feel like it will be someone more significant. I get way too attached to characters 😟

@Tori3569 @I think they're planning on having her wreak havoc upon the others for at least a couple of episodes next season.

I'm also attached to the main characters.

Thank you all for chiming in! I also get way too attached to TV characters, I have to remind myself that, as long as the show hasn't been cancelled, no matter what cliffhanger position the characters have been put in, they are going to survive. That was a hard sell from my brain to my nerves after the season finale of The Equalizer, though, wow!

Back to Ghosts, I can see Isaac and Nigel being "sucked off", especially Isaac, since he has come to terms with his identity and accepted it. But other than Isaac, Alberta or Hetty, I don't think any of the other ghosts have had their afterlife issue resolved, and honestly, I don't know if any of them have had that issue described well enough for us to know what needs to happen for them to enter the Afterlife.

Speculating again, what about Pete? He has had a lot of background explanation, and even gotten to "walk his daughter down the aisle", so to speak, as well as meeting his grandson, maybe he is ready to go now?

@CamilleP INMHO Pete is the most boring of the main ghost characters.
