A prodigious talent! No one quite like him, and what he brought to films. Apparently he's a gifted artist too-- I hope he's gotten a lot of satisfaction from that pursuit in his acting retirement.

I still laugh when I watch him in "The Birdcage" when he is dressed as a woman so he can get out of the club unnoticed. He could do drama and comedy effortlessly.

I first noticed him in the movie The French Connection. He wore this hat that sat on the top of his head like it was the wrong size throughout the whole movie.
