@loveschocolate After Thursday's episode, I was disgusted with the Sheila/Bill storyline. Now there is hope. Thanks for the spoilers. Maybe Bill will kiss Taylor. Problem solved.

If the unexpected couple turns out to be Brooke and Taylor, sorry, but I'll have to consider a hiatus from this one. My issue would not be with a gay couple, heaven only knows, along with mixed race couples, they've become a bit of an overkill TV staple. My issue is that having watched this show off and on since its inception, it's difficult enough to see these two as chums, but given their history, there's no way in hell these two are potential bed mates. Added to the other bad story telling, it would all just be a bridge too far. GIven the overall pathetic state of all the soaps these days, I'm considering going soap free in twenty three anyway, so this would just make the choice a bit easier. A shame really. I cut my teeth on soaps and stuck with them, off and on, over the years, but they've just all gotten so really poorly done on virtually every level and in every aspect.

@stevieb We have gone soapless I would guess November and December. Not one episode and I come here to read about every week, and it reinforces our good decision! The last episode we watched had Sheila and D-CON and she had on a wig. D-Con wasn't working on this rat. . .

There have been episodes where I've fast-forwarded through, especially when I see Sheila. I didn't fast-forwarded last week's episodes, but I kind of wish I had. Yuck!

One of the many problems of these soaps is that the writers are not staying true to the characters and their history. I can buy Brooke and Taylor being civil with one another. Ok. But best friends? Lovers? No way. Especially when Brooke or Taylor have never expressed being interested romantically in the same sex in the past. I just wouldn't believe it.

I know that soaps have some unbelievable plots. It's just that, now, the characters themselves are not believable. Their actions and words don't match each individual's history and characteristics.

I'll end with this: soaps aren't fun anymore--if you understand what I mean. If you've watched soaps from back in the 80s, 90s, and even early 00s, there were fun rivalries--like Brooke and old Stephanie. I even liked Pam and Donna being rivals. I enjoyed when Forrester and Spectra were rivals. Even the rivalry of Forrester and Spencer Publications was fun. It was enjoyable to watch. Now, I say "what the..." or "this was boring" or "I don't care". It's very rare now to see the fun.

Yes Finn. Steffy is a big time cheater. Now you know she cheated on Liam

with Bill and then cheated on you with Liam. Sure, one moment of weakness,

Maybe Dumbo will eventually turn to someone else. But doubt it.

Steffy is a dope, she should not have gone over to Bill's looking for more

trouble. Why hasn't she acknowledged the sword necklace? I don't think

she has said anything to Bill about it.

Did you all hear the other day when Steffy was defending Taylor and she

said to Bill that Taylor was a different person back then when she shot

Bill. Very true, it was the previous actress who played Taylor, seemed

like an inside joke they threw in.

But yes Steffy, Taylor was protecting you, being the tramp that you were

and will always be.

Now hit the road Steffy. You are no longer welcome at Bills.

Maybe Steffy and her goofy husband should contact Carter and help

to build the case against Sheila, all the people who would testify to

keep her locked up instead of worrying about Bill's connection with

the maniac. Do something other than walk around and do nothing.

Enough with the parade of visitors to see Sheila. This is stupid. Who's

next, Deacon and on and on. Better not be an escape with this loon.

So what's next for Sheila and Bill, wedding bells? Guess she will soon

be released cause Steffy is shaking in her shoes and will blow it and

I guess the unexpected kiss was between Carter and Katie. I have no idea why it was considered that because I pretty sure we've seen them kiss before. That is one pairing that is far from exciting. I couldn't even see them falling for each other in real life.

Carter comes across a someone who clings on to anyone who shows him any attention and Katie definitely seems like she would consider him as a friend only. They have no chemistry whatsoever.

Once again I hate to harp on what a dud Finn is but my gosh could he be anymore of a dunce. Was this the best actor they could find for this role? He almost blends into the scenery.

I know that Li has her fans but I'm not one of them. When she was going on and on to Sheila in yesterday's show I really wanted to see Sheila jump up and punch her. She's an irritating character to me. They should have kept the guy who played Finn's father and sent her packing instead.

Everyday I tune into this show hoping to see something new and it's the same malarkey. I wonder how long we are going to be subjected to seeing everyone and their brother visiting Sheila in jail.

It was a little fun to see the return of Sheila at first but now it's just become tedious. Can you just picture Bill and Sheila sitting together in the sand and talking until the sun came up? They make such a lovely couple. I can't even imagine the writers sitting around the table and listening to one of them proposing a s/l where Bill and Sheila fall in love. In the old days of soaps he or she would be laughed out of the room.

The fact that Sheila is allowed to coexist in a world with other people is the glaring disconnect with this show. Her history is fraught with criminally insane actions that in real life would have no one questioning her being locked up in a maximum security facility of some sort for a very, very long time. It's fine for soaps to expect viewers to suspend some level of reality, but this is just stupid and a bridge way too far. She needs to be gone and soon. Her story is no longer entertaining and hasn't been for many years. They pull her out of storage every so often when really, they need just to let the character go. They've maxxed her out and she's become a liability. The Sheila character is nothing more than a means of lazy story telling.

Why don't we just rename this show "The Sheila Soap"? I see that the story of Sheila is never-ending for this coming week. This is soooooo boring!
