Great British Baking Show

Anyone watching? I am but I'm not enjoying it the way I usually do. I think they need to update the format. The show is a bit stodgy as Prue would say. And the two comedians are funny, just stupid. It's boring. I don't even have a favorite contestant, I always have a favorite by now.

I don't have a favorite either.. It's time to ditch Noel and Matt.

Plus, I was surprised at how poorly the contestants did during pastry week.

I still love it! It's really one of my favorite shows. I also love the way all the contestants seem to get along so well. I am wanting Sandros (sp) to win. He almost got eliminated this week -- I was holding my breath. Yes, the judges were disappointed with the pastry they all did.

I like Paul and Pru and I also enjoy Noel and the other guy. I think they are silly and goofy but that's a part of what makes it funny and also breaks up the tension for the bakers!!

I honestly wouldn't change a thing!!!

There is an online Time magazine article dated Nov 11 2022 titled "The Great British Back Off Backlash Has Reached a Boiling Point. Can the Show Be Saved?" Guess there has been lots of criticism since the new season started, shame really.

I watched and loved it when it was Paul and Mary with the 2 gals who made things fun.

Once they changed everyone up, I can't even find it on my TV anymore. I don't stream.

Used to be on PBS.

I don't like any baking show where you have to build something. That's not baking. Sad to see GBBS fall for it.

I love Noel, not sure what he & Matt do behind the scenes. They seem to have a good relationship with all the bakers.

I don't know if it's because of how many years I've watched or the editing or what but it's easy to pick up on the favorite.

I called it again this year, it was so obvious to me.

Not impressed.

But I'll keep watching!
