Tell Me Lies On HULU

It's not often I watch a series I haven't read about and is not on my radar, this wasn't either. It's a 10 episode series I have only watched 2 episodes so far. "Tell Me Lies follows a tumultuous but intoxicating relationship as it unfolds over the course of 8 years. When Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) meet at college they are at that formative age when seemingly mundane choices lead the way to irrevocable consequences although their relationship begins like any typical campus romance they quickly fall into an addictive entanglement that will permanently alter not only their lives, but the lives of everyone around them". I saw Jessica Capshaw in the first episode.

I watched the first 3 episodes on your recommendation. Very good. It seems we enjoy similar type of entertainment. The only problem I am having is the characters seem too old to be in college.

@Terrywu Hollywood has often hired actors that weren't teenagers portraying teens. Prime example Grease, Olivia Newton John was about 28 when she played Sandy, Stockard Channing was in her mid thirties as Rizzo, John Travolta as Danny was probably early or mid twenties. Oh, I also wanted to add if you have AppleTV there are two great series to watch Surface and Bad Sisters.

I do have Apple, watched Surface and really am enjoying Bad Sisters. So funny even I would like to get rid of the brother in law.

Stephen sure has a lot of nerve being angry with Diana for sleeping with Wrigley before they were together. He has slept with just about every girl on campus and has been two timing Diana with Lucy!

@Lilysmom1 thank you that is very nice of you to say. I do like to mention good and bad shows I have seen, sure the choice is yours to watch or not watch, but I feel I can help someone avoid what is not worth their time.

@Terrywu I am with you on the age of the characters. Steven seems to be in his late 30's. He is just not believable as a college student.

I watched the first 4 episodes and will most likely finish the series.

I find myself not caring about the characters except for Drew and how his issue is resolved.

I really like it except for the excessive sex scenes. Some are necessary to understand the relationships of the characters and some of the sociopathic manipulation that's occurring, but after awhile it feels gratuitous. After the second episode, I just started to ff to post coital.
The young woman who plays Lucy is ****** Van Patten's granddaughter. The performances are very good and the story line is very compelling.

Has anyone read the book?

The finale airs Wednesday. This started off present day in the first episode, the rest of the episodes have been in the past. Will we find out how exactly Drew drowned, what were the circumstances? What was the last straw for Lucy and Stephen to break up (he is a terrible boyfriend and human being)?

So did anyone else watch the finale? I liked the series, I feel they left the door open for another season. I do feel that Stephen didn't get what he had coming to him.

I enjoyed the series but agree Stephen had no price to pay. Was surprised to see who his fiancé was.

@Terrywu I was also surprised by who Stephen ended up with. Lucy seemed to have a boyfriend who offered to go to the wedding with her, was she hoping by going alone she and Stephen might rekindle their romance? As for Drew I know he drowned, maybe I missed it what exactly were the circumstances behind it? Did he feel such guilt about the accident, was he suicidal, or was it just a tragic accident?

Season 2 of this series just started with 2 episodes available now. This series is sooo good and that devil Tom Ellis has returned to a series and I have missed him!
