Wow. Just watched some of these shows. They take so many people with them and have all these opinions. Man. But so many beautiful dresses.

I went all by myself, and my aunt went by herself to pick my dress up after it was tailored.

I used to love this show but I've tired it of a little.

I haven't seen this show in a while. Don't know if my cable company (Optimum/Cablevision) is carrying it any longer or if it was moved to a different time slot/channel.

It was just my mom and myself.... I think too many people make it too confusing! Especially if 'the enterouge" have strong opinions

Went with my friend / maid of honor and found my dress on clearance....$100. My double tiered pearl crown and veil was also on clearance for $50. Since I paid for it myself, I was extremely happy to have found something so elegant. This was 1967 and I was a size 10 !

There was a lace-inset floor length cape that was kept on by two lace straps over the shoulder.

I donated the dress and cape to a wedding thrift shop a few years ago.

I used to watch this show all the time. The drama and problems usually (but not always) arise from the entourage the bride brings....................and then Randy and the consultant swoop in and save the day. Most always a happy ending with no knives, guns or arrests. LOL

Wow - I forgot about that show, but I gave up on it long ago. I especially disliked the larger groups offering opinions - often reminded me of the interaction on the Housewives shows. Don't like any of those either.

I got married in a dress my mom helped me pick out. At the time she didn't know when I was going to wear it, but I knew if her seamstress eye approved, it was fine!

I made my dress...satin and lace....cost me $45!

I have never seen the show....but I imagine it is like anything else on so-called reality TV....drama added in for effect! LOL

Awful memory for me. Don't even want to discuss it. Oh well, the marriage is wonderful; the wedding was awful! Stuff happens!

My mom & my MOH came with me. One bridal shop, tried on two or three, then "the one" and I just knew I found my dress.

My DIL chose her dress with her mom (and maybe her MOH - not sure). I was included for the first fitting.

I accompanied our DD, just the two of us, when she chose hers. A couple of her bridesmaids (step-daughter and future SIL) were included for the first fitting. She wanted to include her MIL to-be but she was unable to attend.

I didn't realize this show was still on. I figured they stopped filming because of Covid.

I bought my dress from a small, local boutique. It was a clothing boutique and they also had a wedding section. I knew exactly what I wanted, my mom, sister and I walked into the store just to look at the clothes, I saw this dress, tried it on and bought it. There was no big outing for me.

My SIL took every one of her bridesmaids, including me, and it turned into a big headache. Some of them didn't seem to remember who was wearing the dress.

I used to love the show but I've also grown tired of it. I actually prefer the Atlanta version but I think it's been a couple of years (seems like it anyway) since they've had a new season.

@BLH It's not exactly "fake" but sure is scripted. My DD went with her half sister and it took a good 8 hours to film. She didn't find a dress she could afford.

I lived in NJ and my Mom and I went to NY to find my wedding dress and spend the day together. We found my dress that we both love and I knew it was it as we both tiered up. Wonderful Day.

I have two daughters. We did the same thing, Just the two of us. I was now in CA and older DD was working in Seattle. She flew down and I picked her up from the Oakland airport. Driving home we were excited and talking when red lights appeared behind us and yup, police. I told him honestly I wasn't paying attention to speed and why. He let us go with a warning and said hoped we found the perfect one. We did.

DD #2 and by now we were in Texas. Went to a few stores nothing. Couple days later we went to a bridal store about an hour away. Tried one, I got teary, she did too. Her phone rang and it was her fiancee. Dress was meant to be.

My dress experience was a disaster. I couldn't try any dresses on because the dress shops didn't carry any plus sizes at the time, so I ordered one (a gorgeous a-line Maggie Sottero gown with a crystals and a modest corset back). Then the shop declared bankruptcy and closed 4 months before my wedding so I didn't get my dress and was out a lot of money.

They reopened the store for an hour and told all the angry brides to take whatever they wanted from the few racks in there. There was one plus size gown that I took with me. It wasn't my dream dress at all, but it was white and it fit my body sort of ok. I had to have it altered significantly (and that was expensive). A few weeks before my wedding I got a call from a shop states away that had my original dress and they would ship it to me if I purchase it again at about half of the original price. I did. When it arrived the style looked awful on my figure, so I didn't wear it. I did, however, use the gorgeous Maggie Sottero sleeves on the "free" dress and had a seamstress add a corset back for a custom fit. I ended up wearing an amalgam of a few dresses on my wedding day, but I still had an amazinig day with my groom.

I LOVED that style, and I bet it would seem JUST as fashionable today!
