Better Caul Saul

I watched last night's episode - no spoilers- but it was a little gut wrenching towards the end. The show is absolutely heading quickly towards Breaking Bad.

I watched Breaking Bad and was hooked on it til the end. I told myself I would not watch Better Call Saul because I knew it would be a similiar show. I don't usually watch the graphic stuff that was on Breaking Bad. I kept watching it because I was absolutely hooked. I know it would only take one glance to get hooked on Saul. You confirmed I don't need to do that.

The final scene in the desert was very well done. The editing created just the right tension and uncertainty. This show never disappoints.

It only makes sense to end this series with a tie-in to Breaking Bad; how Saul ended up being WW's lawyer.

It would leave the series ending with unanswered questions.

We know Cranston and I believe Aaron Paul will be in the final episode.

I love this show. Did you know Bob Odenkirk suffered a heart attack during filming? I can't imagine anyone else playing Jimmie/Saul/Gene

I'm curious about the eventual tie-in to BB & whatever happened to Kim.

I wonder about Kim-I hope she isn't killed off but just leaves Jimmy/Saul in the end.

Saul really does not have anyone left; his brother is dead and threatening Kim would be the reason to keep Saul working in the meth business.

If Kim is killed there is no one left to threaten him, except for his own life.

I really didn't want to see Nacho die but he had no choice; he did it to keep his father safe. He couldn't betray Gus and he was already in deep trouble with the Salamancas.

Gus sure looked scared that Nacho would give him up as the person who sent him to kill Lalo.

I am pretty sure Walter and Jesse met Saul together when Badger was arrested. WW was afraid Badger would lead the DEA to Heisenberg.

WW and Jesse kidnap Saul (not very well disguised) and Saul takes $1 from them to be their lawyer. That way he can convince Badger not to confess.

Kim's character this season also seems much darker so far. I understand Howard is very self-serving and quite pretentious but in all fairness he also acted quite a bit on the behest of Jimmy's brother Chuck as well as Howard's late father who were the founding partners of HHM. The plan now between Jimmy & Kim devised to destroy Howard seems more cruel than the man truthfully deserves. In real life business bosses often legally take credit for the intellectual property of their employees while they are working for their company. I think Kim & Jimmy are looking for the millions of dollars from the Sandpiper settlement sooner than later.

The kidnapping scene was a hoot.

WW had already met Saul but as a relative of Badger. Then he (& Jesse) kidnapped Saul wearing a full head mask, but Saul recognized his voice. Talk about a confederacy of dunces! They all have come a very long way since that night.

Saul was also not as keen on Kim's plan to totally derail Howard.

Kim's childhood is interesting and I can see how she developed a "skill" for devising plans with her mother always one step ahead of landlords, etc.

Plus I always wondered about Kim being from Nebraska; we know Saul ends up there working at a Cinnabon so will we see them together in Nebraska in the end?

My personal opinion........

The reason we do not see & the fact Saul never mentions Kim in BB is maybe she is in a witness protection program. Either set up by the FEDs or self imposed (to either save or not implicate Saul). Even Saul does not know where.

Oh well, we will soon find out one way or another.

After last week's heavy episode, last night (5/2) was fun.

Saul's little escapade as Howard was priceless.

He better enjoy his Lalo notoriety while he can.

It's so much fun to watch Odenkirk as a criminal lawyer

Still no hint of Kim's future or did I miss it?

What are we going to do with no BB or Better Call Saul?!

I didn't know this last episode (5/23) is the mid season "finale".

I flew out of my seat!

Kim is a psycho.

Everyone knows what happens to Saul, waiting with bated breath to see what ultimately happens to Kim

Personally, I think she ends up in Nebraska, either in witness protection or through the vacuum guy. That actor passed away so it will be tricky.

Final episodes pick up again in July
