Pretty sure it's Cedar Cove. I loved it last year - a shame it has such a long dry spell between seasons. This one could go 12 months out of the year! I watched the first episode, and I found that there were so many new characters involved this year that I got a little confused. Maybe if I had watched more closely it would have made more sense. I don't intend to give it up, however, and I'll be there for the next installment.

I don't think it's too late for you to jump in. Pretty sure you'd like it. Just check out who's who. and you'll be fine.

Sure, it's worth it. You can see earlier episodes on the Hallmark website if you like.

If nothing else, Andie McDowell does a great job in her role, and the scenery is just so lovely.

Also, yes, it's Cedar COVE. We've had posts about Cedar Grove, and now Cedar Creek. It seems to be one of those names that tricks the mind.

I've never heard of 'Cedar Creek.' Are you, perhaps, referring to 'Cedar Cove?' I'm a big fan of Debbie Macomber's books...light, easy, pleasant reading and have been watching 'Cedar Cove' from its inception. There is a mish-mash of characters and I sometimes find it difficult to keep up with them but still enjoy it. You can jump in anytime but don't be surprised if you are confused during the first several episodes. Also, since it's only aired during the summer, I tend to forget plots and characters from the previous season and each season they add more characters. I'm sure there must be a place on-line where you can view previous episodes.

The scenery is breathtaking and you'll enjoy it. It's on the Hallmark Channel on Saturdays at 9:00 pm EST. docsgirl

I too will be jumping into this, at this time. I had a raft of the paperback books, but no time to read them and passed them along. I'll be a first time viewer too, since we just got the Hallmark channel back. I'm so looking forward to some missed shows.

It bogged down for me last year what with her daughter not being able to decide which guy she wanted and then her boyfriend drinking again the land developer being a jerk and then the editor's son being even more stupid and brainless not to mention borderline amoral so I just threw in the towel and quit watching. I may try it again to see if things ironed out since I like the guy that used to be in Eureka!

Hallmark Channel sent me a questionnaire to ask my opinion of the opening episode of the new season of Cedar Cove.

I told them I was disappointed with the women, who seemed to have poor decision-making ability, and/or were indecisive (well, maybe that's almost the same), and/or were weak. Even considering this is the Hallmark Channel, the women could be stronger. The only one who is strong seems to be Olivia.

Oh, yes, and I am very happy to see Colin McFadden here now. I agree, he was fabulous on Eureka.

Homegirl ........... some women are weak, not all women are strong! Yes Olivia is a strong woman, after all, she portrays a Judge, plus she is standing up to Jack, and doesn't want to get her heart broke again, and I think he would do that! I think the only reason he is pushing for them to move in together is because the new DA is a threat to him now, and that he may lose her!

Oh, I know, @Hooty. But someone can be weak and still be kind of interesting.

It makes more sense for Olivia to take her time because she has a real issue with his drinking. However, it makes a lot less sense to me that Grace is keeping her almost-fiance's ring in her purse when it seems the only reason (or maybe the main reason) she's waiting to decide is because she claimed she was worried about the female ranch hand. She doesn't seem to me to really be comfortable being alone no matter how much she says she wants to wait to marry again.

And Justine is pretty boring and insipid. At least the way the writers have created her.

Thank goodness for the gorgeous scenery. That never lets me down.

The show is getting too "Hallmark-y" and could use some of the finesse the first season had.

Yes to all of this. And they HAVE ironed things out on all of those story lines. Jack's son has left the show, hopefully for good. He was a terrible character with a terrible story line and played by a bad actor who seemingly had no ability to close his mouth when he wasn't talking. (He was just on Wayward Pines and I noticed the same problem there - he always has his mouth open and it just makes him looks stupid.)

Most story lines from last season have reset. The weird stories now are that Will (the judge's brother and Grace's former fling) is back, Cliff's amazing barn manager/cowgirl has cut her hair and become the CFO of Warren's company, and Jack's ex-wife is now his boss.

I don't know if I'll stick with it, but I'm giving it another try. I really like Bruce Boxleitner, Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Colin Ferguson and the town of Cedar Cove, but the stories need to get better. Last night they made a big thing out of Olivia serving as a night court judge. I'm sorry, there's NO WAY Cedar Cover is a big enough town to have a night court.

For me, this show is becoming too slow and turning into a snooze fest at times.

My husband likes to watch it and even he ended up falling asleep. The first episode it ended with a couple talking about being contacted by their child they gave up for adoption. None of that storyline was even shown on the last episode.

I won't go into each storyline, but most of them are getting very boring to me. I do hope the writers do something soon to make it worthwhile to continue to watch.

I love Cedar Cove! I read the entire book series, so it's much easier for me to keep up with storylines and characters. But they have changed a few things and stories from the book series.

One character that I really miss is Olivia and Will's Mother. She was a big part of the book series, and she was quite a character! If you haven't read the books, you should. Each book is dedicated to a different character (or couple) with most of the other people still active in the story. It's easy to know which book is first, second etc by the address in the title. The first book's address starts with "1", the second in the series starts with "2" etc.

One character I don't remember being in the books is the new DA, Paul Watson. I LOVE the actor who plays him! He is the "Maytag Man" on the commercials who morphs into an appliance at the end of each commercial. I hope he stays around for the duration of the show.

I make it a point to be home and ready to watch Cedar Cove every Saturday night. It's one of my favorite programs on tv now.

First this show this guy talking to I think it was Peggy about someone named Cory and they act as if we are supposed to know who they are. Peggy says "I love you both". They talk about the baby that was given up for adoption.

In another scene they show the same man with a woman whom I assumed was Cory and they talk about the baby given up for adoption. Who are these 2 people?
