DId anyone see the latest episode this week?

A patient with Nic's heart is admitted to Chastain; Conrad and AJ need to find why the heart is not working properly. All turns out well and Gigi listens to her mother's heart in the end.

Also Dr. Bell has been diagnosed with LOMS-Late Onset Multiple Sclerosis.

AJ's mom does not qualify for Devon's trial and accepts palliative care.

A lot was thrown into this episode.

The whole storyline with the patient with Nic's heart was pretty amazing. I was thinking, early on, that he won't say anything and was so glad that he told her. The part with the daughter to hear her motherr's heart beat was really cool, too. Just a lovely storyline all around. I was afraid it was going to go badly and relieved it took the direction it took.

@chickenbutt All I could think of was the video of Lewis Capaldi's song "Someone You Loved". The video uses the theme of a heart transplant where the husband of the deceased meets the recipient and she has him touch her scar. He has a recording of his wife's heartbeat and is shown listening to it in certain scenes.

I remember the scene at the end of Nic's death with Conrad watching the helicopter leave with her organs. Who knew 3 years later he would connect with one of the recipients.

It was an amazing episode!!!!!! My mom and I loved it! The part where Nik's heart was in that patient, was so touching and sweet!!!!!Especially in the end where he had his daughter listen to the heartbeat!

I feel so bad for the Doctor, who was diagnosed with MS......I really like him!

I had my doubts about how this show was going to go when they had Nic die, but it's still a really good show. I hope that Dr. Bell will not be written out. I really like him -- his character has come a long way and I really like he and Jane Leeves together --- can't remember her name on the show! It's good though that the show keeps evolving because that's how life is --- people come and go and life is not static.

@RetRN I agree. It was so good! The writers are doing a fantastic job this season....I am really enjoying this show...They have really touched on some real subjects too...

This won't be a popular opinion but it's mine. Killing off Nic and the advancement of three years in time was the shot in the arm this show needed. We no longer have to be subjected to ~ ten minutes in every show of the latest drama/angst between Nic and Conrad. This season we have seen the development of the relationships between Conrad/GiGi and Kit/Randolph. Also they're focusing more on Billie who I also like.

@Tique - agree! It was getting tiresome to the point of losing viewership making it all about the two of them. I was afraid after the first few episodes that it had moved on to being all about the kid, but this week's episode only mentioned her twice relating to the bracelet that Conrad wore, then gave to the patient.

The only storyline I am getting tired about is Dr. Devi and her insistance on having 2 specialties. No matter what anyone advises, she counters with "I can do this".

I wasn't thrilled about Dr. Bell assuming the worst regarding his MS diagnosis. I do not know how much time passed between his starting treatments and the new MRI showing no new lesions but I found it a tad off the mark.

I take it the rape allegation will have to be proven and Billie is really in a bind since Trevor does not know that is how he was conceived. Of course she can prove it through DNA but that Dr. Porter threatening her-what a piece of work.

I hope she goes forward with her allegation. She has a lot of support behind her.
