Do you plan to watch the olympics?

I don't plan to watch the opening or closing ceremonies due to China's committing genicide on its people so no promoting them on my part . I will probably watch individual Americans however . I love watching skating for instance. I hope our athletes stay safe there.

I don't know when they are on this year, and wouldn't watch if I did. They have lost all interest for me for the bias in judging, the bias of the US tv network coverage and other reasons.

Maybe some of the figure skating but I'm not a sports fan. I do like the winter much better than the summer Olympics.

Yes we will watch and I am looking forward to them. I find the opening and closing ceremonies can be a bit boring, so I don't know if or how much we will watch. I want to see the athletes. Not watching in protest will not do anything to improve what is going on in China.

YUP! Especially the opening ceremony. I am still in awe at the last one held in Beijing (2008) which was a jaw dropper

No other country has topped it yet!

Will be interesting to see how Beijing will top itself if it can.

Another reason I will be watching is because there are countries that march that I have never heard of in my life except at the Olympics!

The figure skating for sure. Maybe some skiing, bobsled. Not interested in many of the other events.

In the meantime, I'm watching the Australian Open and the football playoffs. Watching sports helps to keep me sane--LOL!!!

I used to love the olympics and I used to love football too, not as much anymore, though I still watch sometimes.

We probably won't watch too much of the olympics, sports athletes should not be allowed to protest during these events, it really has ruined it for me

I also feel it's not safe for the USA teams to be there at this time.

Absolutely! I will watch every Olympic event I can.

I am in awe of Winter Olympians in the speed skating, cross country skiing and ski jumping events, to name a few.

They train arduously to shine and excel in sports which receive very little attention save for the Olympics.

Love the Winter Olympic Games! Speed Skating, Downhill Skiing, Figure Skating, Hockey, Luge, Bobsled ....

I Loved Wide World of Sports with Jim McKay as a kid.

Peggy Fleming winning the only Gold for th U.S. in '68, at Grenoble.

I think that this time, there will be many athletes too sick to participate. I'll watch the skating.

There is genocide happening in other countries, too, but I'm not happy with China's role with the virus so I haven't decided about the opeining/closing ceremonies but I won't be watching any of the events. I used to love and look forward to the Games but it's not fair competition now not to mention the activism.

I am unhappy they are in China. Why the IOC keeps giving them the games is beyond me. Peng Shuai, the professional tennis player who may be being held against her wishes, is weighing heavily on my mind. China uses slave labor to produce some of its cotton. I probably will not watch, but I know my boycott will have no effect on the games or their ratings. It will just make me feel better not being a part of a bad situation.

@CatsyCline I love all those sports too and plan to watch as many as I can. The opening ceremony I will skip. I also think it's very unsafe for the athletes to be there.

That said, I love watching most winter sports tho I may skip the hockey. Love luge especially and bobsledding.
