I just discovered Peacock and Yellowstone

So like a lot of us I have been on vacation over the holidays. I usually watch my favorite shows on regular networks with a TV antenna. I have a Roku tv and since I have had some time, I have been poking around the menu. Found Peacock TV...so many selections. I am currently watching the series Yellowstone with Kev Costner...whoa is it good! So glad we ditched cable. Between internet subscription, Hulu, Netflix and Sling tv our average bill is about $85 a month. I have so many more choices than when we had cable and are saving about $115 a month. It's allllll 😊 good.

@bmorechick, I've been thinking about doing the same. Are you able to watch your local stations on any of those platforms (Hulu or Sling)? Or is it all streaming? Thanks.

I have a friend who has Roku. We are in an area that antenna TV won't work in. The big deficiency is cable news. I just can't live without it.

@Toot1920 I can pick up local stations with a cheap $20 antenna attached to back of my tv's. ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CW, MeTV, Telemundo, etc. Nice thing is I can put the TV anywhere because you no longer have to rely on that pesky cable hook up.

We've been watching Yellowstone since it debuted. Season 4 finale is tonight. We've enjoyed it, although I will say some seasons are better than others. Enjoy it!

@depglass there are about 5 cable news outlets free on Roku that we get. They are not the ones I watch but I can get those through Sling.

@pdlinda no they are not commercial free but the commercials are very short. Don't mind them at all. Network TV is the worse with commercials. Most of my series shows through HULU (Outlander, Handmaids Tale) are ad free at no extra cost.

I watch on Paramount through UVerse.

I'm looking forward to the finale, lots of drama going on.

I usually DVR it, then watch later, fast forwarding through commercials.

It's provided by UVerse for anything broadcast by Uverse, which is the AT&T cable.

That's what we are doing now.

Yellowstone has been playing the reruns of Season 1-4 through today. It started Thurs. Season 4 is on today.

Season 4 finale tonight.

Watching 1883 on Paramount+

I think we need to drop HBO Max since I can never find anything I want to watch.

We are getting our local channels with Youtube TV right now but DH is going to install another antenna since the neighbors tree fell on ours & broke it.

Yes, I have the cheap package. $60

It's worth it to me instead of paying for all the different pay add-ons

I also stream most of my entertainment, only the free stuff.

Now I have a better understanding about how my TV watching habits and preferences are as compared to what these various other methods of watching involve, and, on that basis, I have to conclude I'm better off keeping my bundle with Cox (internet and DVR cable).

I find all if this so confusing , I have my DH telling me we can drop cable silver package , we used to have gold but it was getting just too expensive . We got the Amazon stick , Just got it not installed yet. Have my brother telling me all the stations I can stream etc. Too much info ! I need cable in order to get cable news , Can't be witthout Fox News ! Seems everything streams🙀 Tv used to be so easy !

Just found out that we already can get Yellowstone on the Paramount Chanel. I think my husband will like it.
