I watch this movie everytime it's on. I remember this case very well. Drew played to the cameras like a rock star. I remember thinking at the tiime, someone should make a movie about the crime. Lifetime read my mind.

Rob Lowe is excellent!!!! Had Drew down pact including his mannerizims & looks.

Someone I knew in school married one of those guys--it was his first marriage and hers though. But the same type. He killed her.

Rob Lowe is perfect in this role. I think he is an underrated actor. He is still beautiful, too!

He & Stacy belonged to the same Wine Styles that I did.

He walked past me in the Walgreens parking lot on Lily Cache when Stacy was missing. His cousin was at the hospital that DH worked at when he tried suicide.

I look for that blue barrel every time they excavate around here.

He got 40 years added to his sentence for trying to have DA James Glasgow killed.

Also Lisa Stebic went missing from Plainfield IL around the same time. Her husband was a Private Eye.

Lisa has been missing since April 2007. So sad. Her kids are in their mid 20's. I wonder if they ever said "hey dad, after you killed mom, where did you put her?" It's like OJ looking his kids in the eye knowing he killed their mom.

@scatcat you may be correct and of course I could be wrong but from what I remember from back then, was that He was a PI and I always thought that he and Drew collaborated.

I thought that Rob Lowe was excellent. What was really scary is how this creep (Drew) lured these young girls in. He certainly was nothing to look at so it had to be his money. Right now I am watching the Twilight Saga.

It's shocking that the cops didn't investigate the drowning of his ex-wife Kathleen Savio -- in a dry bathtub. Ruled an accident???? Would have saved Stacy.

We lived near this town when Stacy went missing. It was on the local news for months. He was extremely arrogant and showed no remorse.

@deeva Exactly the same way with the guy who killed my friend. And we all thought he was an arrogant arse even in college.

The think that is difficult to understand unless you are close to it is that yes, is that it can happen to nice, upstanding people like you. And that you never again look at life or people the same. And that the DA is all the victim's family has. I had a difficult time with a very famous murder case too because of this.

I have seen what it does to the family of a victim. Although he lived for quite a few years, you might as well have buried her dad with her.

I watch tons of real life murder shows. I'd say out of 10 murders it's the husbands and a few wives.

Next it's usually family members or those known to the dead person.

My friend (who watches them too) and I joke about how you could get away with a murder.

You need to leave cell phone home, get rid completely of the body and take it to another state.

Another way is to stay away from Walmart. OMG! It's crazy how many people get killed when they go to Walmart about 2 or 3 AM.

If you need tape, a shovel and gloves, don't buy them that day at Walmart.

Don't use their credit cards. Stay away from cameras on buildings.

People seem to be opting for murder these days rather than divorcing.

I'm not making fun of people dying. Just saying so many of these murders (and there are too many) are happening the same way.

OMG! They sometimes get 10 to 15 years for murder . These shows demonstrate the terrible price the family pays when a loved one is killed.

So sad and terrible.

I saw this when it first aired and it was pretty good. Agree that Rob Lowe is an amazing actor. Kaley Cuoco played the young wife who disappeared.

Funny, when I was typing my post this very role came to mind. That was insane, and he killed it!

I have this movie in my Wishlist so that if it comes up again it will record. It's been quite a while since I saw it and it's one that's worthy of watchingg again. I also have the book and that was good.
